My fiance is in class 14-10. I got to talk to him for about 5 minutes last night and he's already lost his voice! They have to yell everything at the top of their lungs! I'm in the Navy also and I'm so used to being the one who leaves! I'm the one who has to tell everyone else not to worry, so its really weird being on the other side of it!

Sue, thanks for the good wishes. 14-10 Grad events are just around the corner for many of us (Delta /Charlie Co). Thanks to all of you gals, your thoughts and prayers have gotten them through without a doubt! We would love your continued thoughts as we approach next weekend to experience this 'once-in-a-lifetime'. I'm humbled at what these guys/gals have gone through. They are up and out the door early so we can sleep late. They have set aside their rights to personal comforts so that we can be comfortable for days on end. I am free to make a shopping list while shopping is the last thing on their list. Special blessings to all of these men/women who will serve us well as new Officers.
I apologize that I haven't included the N4M's in our discussion of wanting to do our own Meet & Greet (mostly discussed on FB) before seeing our LOs. We wanted to do this because we have all become internet friends and wanted to meet in person.

It was decided that we would all meet at the Newport Creamery which is on the border of Middletown and Newport at 208 West Main Road 02842. It is no farther than 5 mins from Navy Lodge, Best Western or Holiday Inn Espress. They will set aside a part of the restaurant for us and we can order individually from their menu. They have a variety of b'fast choice. Their web site is www.newportcreamery.com. if you want to check out their menu.

Our meeting time is 9:00am on Thursday, May 6th. Of course, if our LOs have liberty, they are welcomed to join us. We have the restaurant from 9-11am.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining us if you have not already responded on FB.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Thanks for taking the helm on this Ellen! Through your perseverance, we now have a place that can accommodate the 60+ people that have RSVP'd for the Meet & Greet!!! You are awesome!! It took some doing, but it is great that we have a place to meet after all these months of internet chatting!! Looking forward to meeting you and all the LO's of Class 14-10!! :)
I know you are all meeting early in the day but the ice cream is wonderful at the Newport Creamery! Enjoy!
Mmmmmm......the Breakfast of Champions! :)
Two days and a Wake-up before we see our Son!!
We are so very excited about the upcoming events and graduation of Class 14-10...the Navy's newest Ensigns!! :)
Safe travels to Newport and a happy reunion for your family! We share your excitement and wish you a week to remember!
Thanks "2"!
You have beautiful US Navy girls too!! Love the pic that was posted on FB of the two of them! :)
Heard some of our LO's liberty got cancelled for Wed pm, in case anyone was getting picked up from the airport, and that someone is on med leave because of a bad beating. Bummer.
Congratulations to 14-10 on the upcoming events. Enjoy each and every moment, safe travels as you head to Newport. These next few days are a great ending to another chapter in the wonderful book of life. The next chapter will be even more rewarding.
Safe travels and happy reunions to those making their way to Newport this week. It will be a week you won't soon forget. Good luck to your loved ones.
I just wanted to say thanks to all on this site. You have been a great support. My husband and I attended 14-10's graduation and it was great!

I also enjoyed meeting so many of you on Thursday morning - our own Meet & Greet was a success. Thanks to the Newport Creamery for allowing us the space to meet and the food was delicious.

I know that I will join other groups on N4M as my son continues his training and eventual assignments. Again, thank you all for your support.
