Hi Jen and Margaret-I got my letter last Thursday hoping to get one tomorrow I rush home from work to look in the mailbox (who does that) never paid much attention to the mail before. How do we become an official group? Wish I knew my way around this site better oh well learning!

oh, I found a group for our PIR date. The link takes you to another one, but on the groups page I searched for ours and found it! woo-hoo! Two pages to check. ;-)
hmmm, I still think I want a group for Ship 7 Div 202. Maybe during naptime I can try to figure out how....
Isn't this Ship 7 Div 202 and 201 group? Am I lost?
No not lost Rebecca I'm Ship 7 Div 202
Great! I thought I was in the right place. If nothing else, we at least all have the June 4 PIR date. Can't wait!
The boys are starting to get to call home this week! James tried to call his girlfriend, but she was in class and didn't see the phone. Poor kids (both of them). But, at least she has a recording of his (tired) voice to listen too. Hopefully he will get to try again soon!
Margaret
Neither of us got a letter this week either. (Girlfriend or myself) Maybe next time. But my sister tells me that when her son went through boot camp, she only got 3 letters. He was sooo busy and tired. Can't wait for A school when they can have their cell phones again! Only 5 weeks to go... Margaret
Hi Everybody- I feel like I hit the lottery I got 2 phone calls from Josh today at work and he called home and talked to his brother and left a message at my husbands work, I also got a letter so happy to hear his voice I needed that he said he probably wouldnt call for another 2 weeks but im riding so high I think i can wait. Praying you all get letters or a phone call. Paula
When my nephew went to boot camp, he graduated top of the class. I know that those who are leaders do extra work, but they also get extra privileges -- like calling more often. That's great that your son got to call home. Be Proud! :-)
Margaret
Ok... no letter today... I should've received a letter... but hey,,, GOT THE PHONE CALL !!!!!!! WOO HOO !!!!!
Kev thought he could only talk for about 10 minutes... hung up and then called me back as he said I guess I have more time. We talked for 30 minutes. His bothersome ankle is much better now. He's able to run that 1.5 mile, no problem... what a huge relief !!!! He was moved from 'night watch' to 'day watch'... and believes he passed the tests to move from E1 to E2... Some days he wonders why he's there... then other days he's glad he's there. He actually said their RDCs are great... he feels his division is tops because they have great RDCs!!! How about that??? Said they earned a flag this week (I've read that's important) and it sounds like they are jelling as a team. I asked him about the yelling... is there much yelling. He said he hasn't been yelled at once... He said its just following what their told to do & not talk when you're supposed to be quiet. Sounds so simple I guess... He's 23... I am thinking if he went in at 18, he'd be yelled at frequently... but I guess not so much at 23... He added they got their uniforms yesterday & they look sharp... I asked if they're ironing yet... he said no... maybe on Sundays? (I had read they iron alot.. ) My boss wanted to know if they do their own laundry... Kev said no, one recruit is designated for laundry. I think I would pick laundry over night watch anyday !!!! We talked about graduation. He's very excited for that... said his group saw part of another graduation & it really motivated them to succeed. Cool !!! Sounds like we will only have Friday & then he flies out Friday late for A school. I asked him if he knows what he wants to do with us that day... does he want to just hang out at the hotel or.... he stopped & said no, I want to go down to Chicago !!!! I said whatever you want... that is what we'll do. I hope everyone gets calls this week. I am soooo positive now. Very good feelings about it all.
