Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

There are plenty of activities on bases! Fishing, yes, but not all bases are near the water. MWR is Morale, Welfare and Recreation and they provide almost every activity you can think of, from sports, to gyms and pools, hobbies and auto shops, to kids activities,bowling, movies, trips and tours, camping, discount tickets to local attractions... just google Navy MWR and you can see the many choices.
Thank her for serving for me. I loved being in the Navy. Heck, I was also raised Navy;.Dad fished all the time, sea and freshwater.

I am a navy wife in Pearl Harbor, HI. We live off-base and we have neighbors in a similar situation. She is an officer in the Army, though he works as well. They don't have any children though. I will tell you that after she is done with boot camp and schooling she will be home pretty early (my husband is home around 330, and it's a 20 minute drive from base) and there are plenty of things to do! Each base is pretty much a self contained city with gyms and libraries and churches and houses. Good luck!
