I got a Letter today from my son! He said the food was good and he liked it there! he didn't like the "Beat downs" I guess that is when they get you up in the middle of the night or early morning and make you do extreme exercise. They got 2 in one night cause a guy didn't want to get out of bed. They have 84 left in their division and he said this bed is as hard as a counter top.

I am also staying at the Ramada. We are coming in on Thursday afternoon. He wrote to me and wished his dad happy fathers day in it. His girlfriend got one also today, of course hers was longer.lol
How exciting!!! How long has your son been at BC? I'm glad the food is good. Nothing about a "beat down" sounds too good to me. Not really the sort of thing a Mom likes to think about her daughter, or son, going through. (nervous LOL)
He has been at boot camp since June 2nd
My daughter left June 8, so I guess we have a few more days. It sounds like it takes about 3 weeks. It sounds like the 3 week call and the letters come about the same time.
We'll keep waiting and watching.
I gave my son my cell number only because I don't want to miss his call. I went to a doctor appointment today and all I kept thinking was what if I got the call then? I would have to leave the doctor!
Those of you that have already received letters and or calls are soooo lucky. I already know that my son's gf gets any call he is able to make. That makes me a little sad....but she will call me and tell me everything and he did promise to write.

Just wanted to invite everyone to the PIR date 7/30/2010 group, just another place for everyone to connect.
My son is named Curt, too, so when I saw your name, it made me smile.
Our son is in Ship 10 Div 257...same date 7/30. We received the first phone call, box and form letter. I don't know if he is grad n go either. We're flying out from California on 7/29 and will plan to go to Ramada meet and greet. We are staying in Residence Inn Waukegen/Gurnee.
Hi Steph, We have our PIR on the 7/30 too! My son said not to make the reservations yet? But I did, we too are flying out of california.
Hi Kyle's Mom,

We made our reservations (non-refundable) and it's wierd because the whole thing is so vague. However, non-refundable were so much more expensive. But gotta keep the faith that he will graduate on 7/30. We got 4 letters yesterday (his girlfriend got 13..but that's ok). It's been 3 weeks today..so maybe a phone call soon. We are flying out of San Luis Obispo (along with his girlfriend) and our daughter will be flying out of Portland OR. We'll probably spend most of the time in the airport!!!!
My son's graduation date is 7/30/10 Ship 10 Div 257, so we will be there at the same time!. Should arrive 7/29/10. Im so excited to see him!!! Flying out of North Carolina
Hi sqwyn,

Maybe we'll meet up..this is getting exciting!! Never blogged before in my life!

Steph
