Hi Denise,

My name is Dawn Jennings and our son Brian is currently in Boot Camp (Ship 4, Div 814). He is also SWCC bound, so I'm sure he knows your son. My family will be driving from Georgetown, TX (just north of Austin) to graduation next week. We are so excited to see Brian! He called Sunday and said he'll stay at Great Lakes until the current SWCC class graduates in August, then on to San Diego. This is all so exciting (and scary). So glad you started this strand. Have you been able to print out a parking pass for the base? We're having a tough time connecting with the website. We're staying at the La Quinta in Gurnee, IL. Looking forward to meeting all the parents. Brian said they're really starting to pull together as a group.

Dawn
Hi Dawn, it is nice to meet you. We are in Concord NC. We will be heading up on Wed. we are staying at a bed and breakfest about 20 min away from base. I was told not to use last names on here because our kids are special opps. I cant wait to meet you. I have a facebook, if you have one we could be friends on there also. I think my husband printed off our pass the other day. Talk to you soon.

Oops! Thanks for the heads up about using last names. Didn't think about it. I guessthere are going to be lots of changes in the future. I just heard from my husband and he was able to print out the pass at work. I do have facebook, I'll find you there. Take care and I'll look for you on the 25th. Dawn
Hi Dawn, I just requested you as a friend here. Accept me and I will give you my facebook infor. :)

Hi Jill,

I look forward to meeting you. We're busy trying to get everything ready for the road trip. Lord, I hope it's a little cooler up there. We've been in the high 90's / low 100's for several weeks. Can't wait to get up there and see Brian. :O)
Dawn
Hi,
My son Michael Abrams is going to Coronado for SWCC training. He said something about being the first SWCC class to have a pre-buds class just like the SEAL's have. He is still in Great Lakes waiting to be shipped out. He said he should be shipped out around July 10th. He hasn't been assigned a class yet but said that his "class" was suppose to start in September. I was just wondering if anyone who has a son in SWCC Ship 04 Division 814 has heard the same thing? I haven't heard anything from him since we were with him during weekend liberty after graduating on June 25th. I missed the Meet and Greet on June 24th. so I didn't get to meet anyone who has sailors in Division 814. Thanks in advance for any information you can pass along.
Barb
Hi Barb, Jesse is going to Coronado he is in DIV 814. He said they will leave on July 19th. Jesse also said his school will start in Sept. But of course all that is always subject to change. Come find me on facebook justbelievenhim@yahoo.com see you there and it is nice to meet you on here. Maybe our sons know each other. :)
Barb, for security reasons dont use your sons last name on here. That is what I have been told. I will ask Jesse if he knows Michael.

Your friend
Denise
Denise,
Thank you so much for that information. I am going to be leaving KY at around 0200 hours which is in about 3 hours from now. I can't wait to see him again. I'm sure they know each other if Jesse went to any of the church services Michael would remember him.
God Bless,
Barb
I will look you up as soon as I get back from the Naval Base. I have a ton to do to get ready, this was a last minute trip.
