My mom (his gmom) got a short letter yesterday...so in total, thats our 3rd letter...he left here July 6th...I feel lucky we've gotten 3 letters, but all these moms with phone calls are making me jealous! Congrats moms, hopefully I'll maybe get a phone call before Monday when I return to work and wont be able to answer the phone! :(
Got our first letters ...yah!!!
Got our first letter today. it was good to hear that he is getting used to things there and that things don't seem as grim as they were when the was there in the forst 48 hours. I look forward to more letters and phone calls...but for now I am just happy hearing that all is OK. Whew!
Got my first letter today. Short and sweet. When I read the letter he wrote to his little sister about how much he misses her, I cried like a baby 8>) I'm hoping he's gotten our letters.
I got my second letter today Yah. He asked for more stamps because stamps cost more up there. So send the boys more stamps. Also he said the guys are not getting enough pictures of home. He said to copy them on paper that way you can get four on one sheet and it lighter then regular pictures. Sounds like they are having an ok time right now he said hell week starts next week and there would not be many letters homes after that but for us to keep writing please.
also if you go to walmart to the picture printing stations. you can do 7 pictures to 1 4x6 its only 29 cents not to bad i have sent my husband over 20 4x6 so i just wanted to share that with you
I have only received the first form letter with 2 lines from our son. And on phone call, but that was to get another refernce fro security clearance, so it was official business.
Good morning everyone, well we got our first letter from our son he said everything is good, PT's are really hard but he can handle it, he has made alot of new friends and the food is boring, they repeat alot of the same dishes. He really misses us and said there is alot of screaming and cussing and that he's been yelled at a couple of times, but he can handle that to. He said that boot camp is nothing like the video's that he watched before he left. He's really looking forward to us coming up there for graduation, can't wait to see us. Now I hope to get a phone call from him, can't wait to hear his voice.
