OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please be sure to post the information in the Georgia Navy Moms group so everyone will know about it. We have some families that live in Buford and the Duluth area so that will be nice and close for them this time. It would be good if you can post it in the "events" if you need help doing that, just let us know.
Hi everyone! I haven't been on for awhile - life I guess! I am eager to reconnect with you all once again. My son is a Nuke MM2 on the USS George Washington. He is stationed in Japan. Currently they are "somewhere" in the western Pacific!! Thank goodness for emails!

I am interested in attending a N4M's get together. Please keep me informed.

Mary - I will keep Nick in my prayers. I am sure that he will continue to perserve!!!
Kathy, we haven't seen you in forever!!! I think your son was still in Charleston last time we got together - you must join us soon! And thanks for remember Nick, he seems to be doing well :-)
Betty, meet and greets are wonderful. We have lots of those in the San Francisco Bay Area Navy Families group. We have meet and greet spread out throughout the Bay area. This month, we met in the wine country. Last year 25 came to my house. We have a special dinner during Fleet Week in Oct. Next month we are doing something special for young wives, fiancees and girlfriends. Once the details are set, I put the information and add an N4M "EVENT" - then I post the link to EVENT so members can RSVP. Here are links to the Healdsburg meet and greet and one in Central Valley CA. Feel free to "copy cat" any of the information. Have fun!

Hey Betty,
A couple of us have tried to reach you and don't know if we have your email wrong or not but we are having a gathering on Saturday @ noon @ J.Christophers in John's Creek on July 31st.

We have at least two other moms that have sons that are Nukes on the USS Geo. Washington! Hope you get this message in time and can join us.
