Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

your "form" letter will be coming any day now with the division and correct address.
Remember, he won't have time to write for the first 2 weeks. But make sure to start writing now. My son said it was great to get that first mail call and have a stack waiting for him. Make sure to have the pets write to them. They seem to like that. They have no access to news, so you may want to include what is happening in their home area. Some really like to get the sports scores too. -

The letter will come soon probably... If he left last week, it should be there by the end of this week... that will have his address and a short note from him.. and it will make you feel better!!

Got my sons box today. He left 8-5. I got his shirt.shorts.underwear.socks.and
sneakers. Also he had got from the recuiter last yr a book
that he had his id.ss card. Phone cards. Stamps. Paper. Pens
and envelope. That was sent back...empty. I would have
thought was ok it had the navy seal on it. but no letter -

all toiletries from the approved list were thrown away (i suspect because our son was flying to great lakes and the FAA regs came into play). everything sent back except the bag he carried and his flops (you know those athletic style flip flop things). even his navy issued day-timer-like book and i suppose that was sent home because of the bulkiness. i have heard that they must learn to keep their belongings to the size of what one could carry in a sock! last night made hotel reservations for PIR ;)

I got the box three days after he left (Aug 3). He left with just the clothes on his back and his wallet. I tried to talk him into taking deoderant and such but he wouldn't. All I got back in the box was his sneakers and tee-shirt. Makes me wonder what happened to his socks, shorts and underwear. I'm sure it will be a good story when we see each other!

well that will be an interesting story....but since my son sent it ALL home except the bag he carried and his flops i sure am hoping like crazy they gave him a nice set of new clothes or he's walking around holding a bag in front of himself wearing those flops!! hehehehehe
