we are also from TEXAS.... i just wanted to tell you that my son was due to leave for Boot Camp on Aug. 16 but they called him 2 weeks ago and he left June 15th.
Why did they change his date? I thought it all tied together with their A school? My son is to leave August 16th for BC, and once done at BC will be going to Penscola for A School, and from the sounds of it that is pretty much in stone so he will get the training he wants for the job he has selected.
My son leaves for bc on the 16th, and will be going to to A school in Florida.
my son just called about 2:30pm to say he is safe and he will call back in about three weeks. Glad to hear from him, How about you guys . How everyone is well.
I got the call Monday night at 8:30 central time. Same message that it will be 2 to 3 weeks before any further contact. It was good to hear his voice and he sounded very excited and good. His recruiter said he will have an address before the week is out. I already have 2 letters ready to go!
ok, they are off! now when do we get to see them again :)
What graduation date do you think they will have? Me and my husband are trying to figure out dates to tell our work and we can not agree on a date.
I'm not sure on the grad date.....I contacted our recruiter and he was hoping to have an address for me by tomorrow (Friday). He said he would try to find out grad date also.

My "kid in a box" arrived today. Now I have clothes to wash but will do it gladly....this time.
Yes we received he box today also, but do not have an address yet.
Got his address! Now I can send those letters.......Recruiter gave me the address a little after 3pm central time today.
Yes! I was just searching for that myself. Our son leaves that same date from STL for BC. Is your daughter going to that also or is she shipping out to go else where?
she leaves for BC from Dallas on the 16th.. she seems exited and i want to be exited with her but its just so hard. what is your son's job??
Air Support - Mechanic - he was very excited about getting just what he wanted. He had the choice of going to trade school for 18 months to learn it like his brother or the Navy. I think he made the better choice for himself. Which is part of the reason his delayed program was so far out, he made this decision last August and took the test and got what he wanted he just had to wait a year. What is your daughters job?
