I second this (red w gold lettering)...also am not opposed to the idea of the all 10/1/10 PIR having the same color vs different colors for each ship/division.
I am game for anything. Just want to show my pride and support. Anything goes.
Sounds fine to me. Since you & I seem to be the only ones from 326, just let me know the final decision & I will place my order.
From my friends list you can send friend request to Elaine, JJmom, and proudnvymom. I think all are 326
Hello Ladies, I love the idea of wearing a ribbon! Just let me know what color and where to order.:)
This might sound dumb but what are the ribbons for? Are they worn by everyone or by the moms? Are we making our own or are we purchasing them from a company? I am not up on the ins and outs of the 10/01/10 PIR. Would someone mind filling me in on the details? You guys are great and I love reading about how proud you are of all of these guys/gals.
The ribbons are a way of showing support for your sailor and they are a great keepsake for a scrapbook or something else. They also help you recognize other families from N4M's site at PIR. You can make one yourself or you can order one. I made one to wear to my daughters PIR and for a lot of moms in my PIR group. Since then I have become known as the Ribbon Queen lol and have made them for several other PIR groups. I don't make a profit on them I just ask for $5.00 to cover the cost of supplies. It gives me something to do beside miss my sailor and I love the idea of everyone wearing something so proudly that I made myself. If you have any other questions about the ribbons, PIR, Navy Lodge, Gurnee Mall, Grad and Go, chartered flights, Pensacola A school or anything else you can send me a friend request and I will be happy to help in any way I can.
Lala, I have sent you a friend request. I will check in tonight to see if you have rec'd it. I will be ordering some from you as soon as I get your contact info. The ribbons are such a wonderful idea. What an honor it will be to wear one. He is in the 946 division and seems to be doing great. Thank you for making the ribbons for PIR. This is such an exciting time for all of us. Bless You, Lisa
Jimmysmom... the ribbons are just a show of support and pride for our sailors at the PIR. There as been a discussion about all wearing the same colors or each division wearing a different color for the sailors to spot us easier. I hope that helps.
Thank you for the reply. I can't wait for 10/01/10. It will be fun to finally meet all of you . Hope you have a blessed weekend.
It will be good to meet you, too. Have a great evening.
Hi Lala,
I'm new to this group also, and glad you explained about the ribbons. I will send you a friend request to find out more if that's ok.
My son is Ship 13 Div 325. I haven't seen any other moms from that div, but another mom told me 326 is a sister div to 325. Not exactly sure what that means.
I'm learning a lot on this site also. You all are awesome.
