I got my letter this week end and what a welcome sight that was in the mail box. I think it actually took me a minute or two to pick it up. lol  I think I was in shock I was already getting information from my son. I spent the rest of the night on line trying to get the best deal on flights and writing letters to my son. I'm looking forward to chatting with all the wonderful ladies on this site. I think it will make this adjustment that much easier for me.

Connie,My son is also Ship13/Div321 and the meeting of his new friends and the families will be GREAT!! Looking forward to it and plan to take some Kodak moments to bring back to Maine and show to his girlfriends family. Oh, she also join'd with him and her PIR is also 09/24/10!!
No lobsters coming with us this time but his new mates are more than welcome to come to Kennebunk and be at home ,if they choose.
The dog will enjoy the company and the cats ,well they'll probably leave a few doa mice on the front walkway, just because that's their jobs. Shore dinners are so easy when you live here and know lobstermen in town.
well hello to you mkl !! so your son and his g/f both joined and will have PIR on the same day...WOW!!! if the new mates can't make it to Kennebunk you might find me on the doorstep instead...BOY HOWDY this "Southern Girl" loves lobster!!!
my husband said they were all supposed to get phone calls today but you know the military.. they will do as the please, lol. the 45 minute calls MAY take place sunday when they have their "free" time but he wasn't positive that it would be sunday, the 45 minute phone calls are for sure coming though, its a reward for them passing a test!!
