        Aren't these just the longest days in your life?  I'm now a mailbox junkie, hangin' out by the box all the time just waiting for that letter!

        Does anyone have a son or daughter Ship 6, Div 945?  Being a performance division, I'd love to hear what you know about the workload and their (few) extra privileges.

        Thank you all!

I Got A Letter Today! I'm so very happy! My SR said he missed the parade because he was so sick with fever, etc. Had spent most of Friday and all Saturday in his rack while everyone else moved their stuff to the new ship and still wasn't up to marching in the parade. God love him: he said he went there to become a sailor, not to march in parades and he was OK with how things turned out. Work on his clearance has begun with all the prerequisite paperwork! He thinks he may leave for A School on the 28th but hasn't rec'd his orders yet. As of 9-5-10 (the date of his letter) he said to keep using the "old address" as the new ship didn't have a mail office yet. Oh how I love the mailman!!
@Patricia. Sorry you SR is so sick. Hope he is feeling better soon. Nice to hear about the mail situation. I have all my labels printed off for their old address LOL
Thanks for the information.
@Chiefwifey. Seals? Uh Ozzzzz... :/ LOL poke them in the eye with a flute and bop them with a flag!! LOL Hang in there Division 945!!! :)
I think my SR can handle the flute in the eye! :)
@Desert Girl LOL :)
Did you look at facebook today? Our division performed and their pictures are on there! They look awesome!
@NavyMomX2- is that 945's rifle team? I swear that is my son in the picture. But after being at one PIR they ALL look the same. Until you get close and grab your Sailor!! LOL My 1st sailor told us to "Stay in the seats where our division number was. Dont move! I will find you! We all look the same." LOL
I am not sure. I just know that Div. 945 was performing because I saw my daughter in the choir photo.
I didnt see my daughter. She is a member of the choir.
I found her.....but I can only see her cheek!!!!!!! If anyone has a different view of this picture PLEASE share it with me.
Those are the only photos I have found so far. But I think they may be performing again next Friday. Maybe the pictures from that PIR will have a better angle of your daughter.
Good morning everyone! Just wondering about Whaletalkers comment and your experience about having your sailor come to you after the PIR, and not vice versa. Most of what I've read elsewhere suggests the sailor stay where he or she is and the family come to them. With each sailor having around 4 guests in the bleachers, how would the sailor ever spot the family among all those faces? So, we're all leaning on you, missy, to steer us straight! Thnx.
I would suggest you go to them. Sometimes there are so many groups graduating on the same day that the bleachers get filled and you may have to sit in a different section other than 945's. They will have so much going through there minds and trying to be perfect, this just might add to there millions of things to do. Besides its easier for you to spot them, then it is for them to spot you (unless you were flourescent clothing), LOL, but I don't suggest it. :)
