Aren't these just the longest days in your life?  I'm now a mailbox junkie, hangin' out by the box all the time just waiting for that letter!

Does anyone have a son or daughter Ship 6, Div 945?  Being a performance division, I'd love to hear what you know about the workload and their (few) extra privileges.

        Thank you all!

Oh YEahHHH! HOOooooOYYYYAAAAaaaaHHHHHHH! :)
I have a wonderful, christian son on ship 06 div 945 who will graduate on 09/24/10. he plays trombone..he just wrote that just this week that now he is on shio 02 reuban james div 945 on ohio street. does anyone know why?
@Nancy-My son told me last week in his letter they decomissioned the USS Constutition where they were. They commissioned the USS RUEBEN JAMES. That is why they were writing they were so hot and sweaty. Apparently the work out until the "walls Rain'. LOL Thats what he said. LOL
Anyone know when they have their last PT-2 this week?
Welcome Nancy! Did you find your son in the pictures of last week's graduation and/or the parade in Zion?
I don't have an answer for you as to why the move, but in a letter dated 9-5, my SR said to continue using the same address we've had from the start and that mail will catch up with him. Others on this site have been using the new address. Sounds like either way they'll get their mail.
Week 7:
During this week you will have a written test as well as classroom training on the history of the
uniform, grooming standards, dependent care requirements, and terrorism. You will also get to
practice your fire-fighting skills in an actual "ship board" fire-fighting exercise. The week ends
with Battle Stations. Battle Stations is the culminating event of Navy Boot Camp. It’s designed
to allow you to use the skills you’ve been taught thus far in Boot Camp (i.e. swimming survival,
teamwork, fire-fighting, damage control, etc). Also, PT-2 is this week. Make sure you’re ready!
hi...my son is ship 6, div 945....did you hear they are moving? Have you gotten the new address yet? I'm the same way. My son tells me they get their mail taken out on Sundays, so on Wednesday, I'm hovering by the mailbox. I did hear that their group testing something happened and they won't be getting a phone call this week. That depressed me because I was really looking forward to hearing from him!
They moved to ship 2. I got a letter from my daughter last week telling me that they had moved.
@weimy.. Hi, One of the parents said that their SR wrote t hat we can us the same address. That they didnt have the mailroom ready in the new ship yet. I am going to use the same address until I hear something different. I know they will still get it.
Hi Weimy and welcome! Thanks for the word on the phone call. So far we've only had one. I think all those phone cards I've been sending our SR have been put toward calling his girlfriend!! But that's OK . . . as long as he gets to talk to someone. Ten days to go. Yay!
Hi everyone. My daughter is in this division and plays the french horn. Her 18th birthday is this Sunday and I was told by someone if they find out its her birthday she will get grief over it. Does anyone know if this is true? I certainly hope not but was just wondering if anyone knows.
@Heathersmom-Hello. Did you find her picture on the RTC on Facebook? They posted last weeks graduation ceremony on it. I think t here is some band on it. I would imagine they will be doing BS around that time. I havent heard if they do. A lot of the stuff depends on the RDC's.
Battlestations is next Monday. They will also be performing this Friday at this weeks graduation ceremony, so look out for more pictures on Friday. :) Here is a video of Battlestations 21 from CNN on You Tube. It will give you and idea of what your recruits will be going through...all night.
