Yes indeed! That is awesome!
Our son (mine and AdamsDad), carrying the American flag. Proud, proud day.

I would be curious to see our sons standing side by side, they seem to look a bit alike. Maybe it's the haircut! lol. You have EVERY right in the world to be beaming with pride!
We kept looking at the pictures of past graduations and they NEVER show the US flag or the color guard. They always show the state flags and the drill team and the band. This is truly a gift from God! They will be in the blue one...the "Cracker Jack" for their actual graduation, right?
YES! Our PIR will be in the Navy BLUES. I like the white, but I am very excited about the Navy Blues because my husband graduated from Great Lakes 25 years ago, November. We have pics of him in his Blues.

How great is it that we get pictures of our sons in both the white AND the blues! Such a rare thing. Our son was originally suppose to leave November 16th. When he was offered the chance to leave early, we knew it was for him. Since he mad that decision, it seems as if there's been blessings along the way. Just like getting them the extra day - on Monday. Love that he won't be at boot camp over the holidays!
So many blessings!!! Yes indeed! Our son's best friend is leaving for the Marines the first week in December, although I begged him to wait until the first of next year so that he would not be at boot camp over the holidays.
I ran into a good friend of my son's yesterday. He was excited but looked very nervous, said he had signed his papers for the Army. He said he is going for logistics and will be leaving in January.
Beth, did he say anything about him being a grad n go in his last letter, Mine still hasn't said anything yet.
Kimbob, he is not a grad-and-go. At least that is what he said during that second phone call on 7SEP.
Got a call from mine today. He leaves for A school on that Tuesday after graduation. A lot of them are leaving on that day and are palnning a big trip to 6 flags on that Monday after graduation.
No, he flies to A school Tuesday along with a lot of others going to the same location. Your girl may very well be in that group.
Thank you Tenn Navy Mom! My SR also mentioned the possibilty of honor division because they are now doing so well. He is so thrilled. When he described walking into that drill hall Friday to his brother, he (his twin in college) cried. It was an incredible experience for him that he will carry with him for the rest of his life.

When I asked those who spoke with my SR for the exact date of BS, I got "I don't know but definitely the week of PIR". UUgghhh!! lol. I am so glad that you got the actual date! Whew! Thank you so much for getting so much information and sharing. I love NAVY for Moms!!!
