Okay, so this is a fairly new group, and some of us don't know eachother a whole lot, so I figured this would kind of be an ice breaker type of thing. Kind of like a minature biography. KEEP IN MIND. OPSEC RULES!! NO FULL NAMES. Use the first letter of their first name, it keeps it safe. DON'T GIVE OUT HOME TOWNS. States are okay. (: Hope this goes well and everyone jumps in! To give YOUR biography, just comment the discussion with it(:

My name is Charity and I am 20 years old. I am the 2nd oldest of 7 children and I have lived in the same general area of Texas my entire life. My parents have been married for 22 years. I was home schooled from Pre-K to graduation, but started taking classes at a community college at 15 to supplement my education. I also had my first real job at the college (2yrs).During my time at the college, I seriously considered going into the US Navy but eventually decided that it wasn't for me. I graduated highschool in June 2008, then graduated with an Associate's degree in General Liberal Arts and Associates in Health Sciences in May of 2009. August of 2009, I started nursing school at a University and I graduate in April 2011 with my BSN. I am super excited. I want to be a NICU nurse (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).
Some exciting things I have done: I rode the MS-150 (a 180mile bike ride from Houston to Austin) when I was 11 and then again was 15..... just so I wouldnt have to wait until I was 18 to get my ears pierced (Got one set of holes each time I rode). I did ballet/tap/jazz from the age of 4 to 10; then I did karate the next 6 years. I earned my Blackbelt in Tae Kwan Do/ Americal Martial Arts after 6 years of training & followed by a week long test (the beginning of which I was hit by a car). I enjoyed a successful 7 years in 4-H during which I was a team captain of 2 different teams (consumer decision making & Horse quiz bowl) that went to Nationals. I was crowned County Fair Queen in 2008. I love horses and bought an Arabian with my own money that I saved up when i was 12!! I love to crochet and be around children. I also LOVE to read!!!

I am the proud girlfriend of J! who is currently at BC in GL; PIR 10/29/10. His rate is AE and he goes to A school in FL next. We have been dating since July 15, 2007. Joe is the only boyfriend I've ever had, and after we had been dating for only 3 months, I knew that there was no one more perfect for me. He is always talking about getting married and he is the sweetest ever. I love his family and they love me. My family loves him too!!! My mom, who called him my "friend" for the first 2 years we dated, actually called him her SIL the other day.
Joe and I met at church and this has really been the foundation for us, our relationship with God and our FAITH that he will see us through everything. For motivation: Check out Jeremiah 29:11 (Bible). Joe and I made a commitment to each other that we would wait to "you know", until after we get married. It makes our relationship that much stronger because I know how much J respects me & how much self control he has to exert..he reminds me of this on occasion! :) [I'm not his 1st gf]
SO awesome charity! You've got quite the story behind you!
I have had a very full and BLESSED LIFE!!
I'm corie, I am 19, I was born in Oregon and lived there for 10 years and then I moved to Montana. I have one older brother, we don't get along very well, but we are working on it. I dropped out of school the beginning of my Senior year, things were going on and I couldn't deal with school anymore. I got my GED in April of this year, before my class even graduated. I met my bf C in Jan and we started dating in Feb we have been together for 9 months now. Our relationship has mostly been long distance, but we are managing. He graduated BC in September and has just started HM Corpsman school. After he finishes A school he plans on going FMTB (which stands for Field Medical Training Battalion) with the Marines, he plans on 2 enlistments. I am currently in the process of moving to TN 9 hours from where he is, going to stay with family and work on getting into school to get my Business Degree.
For a couple of years I considered joining the Navy, but after reviewing everything I realized that its not for me, its a great thing to do but I have made my decision that I'm not going to enlist and I am going to work as hard as I can to get my Degree so I can go to Culinary school and do what I have always dreamed being a Pastry Chef and one day open my own Business. So for those of you that wish to join go for it, I support you 100%.
So awesome Corrie. 2 of my favorite things... health care & baking. Way to go on standing up to whatever you were dealing with and going back to get your GED!! Very proud of you!!
So proud of you Corie! You can do it girl(:
hi everyone!!! I'm Sara and I'm 19. I live in Virginia and love it here! My parents got divorced when I was 10 and I now have 7 siblings between step/half siblings. I have one biological brother he's 17 and he's everything to me. I work as an at-home care respite facilitator for children and young adults with disabilities. Which basically means that I go to their houses and help them learn life skills to live more independently, like washing dishes, using a microwave, putting away groceries, etc. I love my job and the people I work with, but it does get very stressful. I was extremely fortunate and got to play basketball for Oak Hill Academy when I was in 10th grade (one of the best basketball schools in the nation, it's a boarding school) I loved it there, but missed my family and decided to come back home for 11th and 12th grade. I didn't graduate high school, but have my GED now. I'm 9 months pregnant with a baby boy and I'm very ready for him to get here already! He's going to be a junior, which is dad is very excited about of course. My boyfriend, J and I have been together since May of 2009, we met at a pool that we were both lifeguards at. J is 18, so I'm a year older, but he's acts like he's way older than me. He's an IS (intelligence specialist) it's a top secret security clearance job, so I really don't know much about it or what he's doing. He's in A school now in Virginia Beach. Which works out great for me because it's only about 2 hours away from where I live. I'll hopefully be moving down there in the next few months so that he can be around his son more. And yeah, that's all I can really think of, but if you want to know more just ask!
So neat Sara!!
That's really convieniant that you're so close! So you can see him more often! So he doesn't
miss out on so much of his baby boy's life!!

(:
Hey Everyone! I'm Victoria but everyone usually calls me Tory. I'm 21, turning 22 in November. Live in PA and work in a doctors office as a Medical Assistant. Been working there a little over a year now. I love it and been wanting to do this since I was little girl. Basically living my dream right now. I just started dating a young man named Corey who is shipping out to the Navy December 14th. We dated some back high school, but had to break it off. Now about four years later, we're trying again. Picking things where we left off and I couldn't be happier. I've always been a huge supporter of the Military. I have a cousin serving in the Marines. A friend in the Air Force, another in the Army, and now someone I know in the Navy. I'm very proud of my bf. Even though I'm scared for him, and going to miss him so much when he's away, I couldn't be happier for him. I know the Navy will be great for him. It's just going to be hard because we already live 2 hours away from each other, but we're already use to distance. So this shouldn't be anything right? I can't wait to get to know you guys, and excited because knowing there are others who are going through the same thing? It's encouraging. Feel free to hit me up in the chat or whatever! I love getting to know people. Peace out!
So cool Tory! It's good that you're supportive! He will need it so much!!(:
Thanks Nicole. I just feel bad because I live so far away and he really doesn't have many friends. And he needs them right now!
Don't feel bad girl!
You guys will be eachothers everything if you already aren't when he gets there, he will need you more than anything. You'll be the one he turns to for everything!
