Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

did you get the call? My son told me that I woulldnt get his things for a few weeks. I asked him 'a few weeks?' and he said yes. I thought it would take a week at the most. I think he was just delirious due to lack of sleep..

Hi Marylou,
My daughter left on the 6th from California. It was an emotional day. She is married so her husband gets all the information from the Navy, not me. I feel very out-of-the-loop.

Luckily, you have this site. I have found it to be a treasure chest of information. I have read most of the information up, down, left, right, frontwards and backwards. LOL. It was funny because I was telling my son what was going to happen next!

My daughter left from Annapolis on the 6th also. She left for bc within 30 days from joining so she never went to a DEP meeting. I'm so greatful for this site. Good luck to all our saliors!!

It's so good to hear this is what he wanted to do. My son did as well. He was in aerospace camp for 2 weeks one summer and they talked about the Civil Air Patrol. He joined that and soon afterwards started high school and joined the AFJROTC. Yea, I think our boys made the right decision. They are being taken care of. They will be fine.
