Sharon is so smart! They did get the holiday, so called TODAY. Hooyah! They had 2 days of relaxed schedule. So they called today! Lots of wisdom teeth were removed this week which gave them 2 days SIQ (Sick in Quarters) & 1 day LD (light duty) for those who had them removed.. They got their dog tags and now jingle all the time. KG says their nightly prayers & keeps their morale up. They are having to work on bunk making, didn't pass inspection Friday, but their first test wasn't too bad. They get results Wed. HOOYAH to news & loving voices! Go 369!!!
HOOYAH just got my call...oh SOOO good to hear.."Hi Mom!!!" Just loved to hear that voice! It is so hard for me to not yell when I get that call!! He is doing great and also said their first test went well!! Passed inspection but will definitely improve next time. And for a Fla. boy to say, "I never saw leaves change colors before they are really pretty!!!" Told him to stay strong and will see him soon!!!
Encouragement yes I love to hear that, way to go momma. My boy sounded better than he did last weekend.
Maybe the leaves will still be on the tree's when you get there, I doubt it though. We usually rake for the whole month of October and maybe a bit into November... Yes they are beautiful, we go drive to see them. My favorite time of the year, the smells and the colors. I love bon fires and apple cider, I love going to the farmers market and just taking in the color and the smells there, plus this is when I start making my oatmeal raisin cookies and man I love that smell, the Cinnamon yummy.
Don't forget the pumpkins! They are one of my fall favorites too!
We got a call yesterday, he called me first and we spoke for less than 10 minutes, he wanted to call his dad who is still in Calfornia, and then be able to call, Kelsey. He and Kelsey are able to chat for about 20 minutes and that is so cool. His dad and I know they really need to chat, so we don't take too much time. He got his lower wisdom teeth pulled last week and was he called last night he wasn't feeling well at all. That made me so sad and wanting to be there with him. As moms, we want to have our babies home and to take care of them. It will get better, it is hard when you know they are so homesick and with not feeling well, he does his best to hold it together, though you know he cries. Hoping he feels better and gets to call again soon. Waiting for more letters this week too. He said they started getting mail last week, so he had plenty of reading to catch up on. Hoping you have a great week, get calls and get more letters!!! Hooyah!!!!
WooHoo!!! One more day closer to PIR!!! It is amazing that we are now down to only 30 days!! Just think, it was yesterday that they headed out to BC and now we are less than one month. Prayers that phone calls and more letters come our way this week!!

Hope you are hanging in there, it has been a rough few days for me. I am feeling a bit better today. I did some more crying and praying on my knees last night while in Diego's room. I miss him so much, though know that he is in good hands. He is covered by God's loving Hands and the RDC's will make sure he is taken care of if he needs any medical treatment. He didn't say why he wasn't feeling good, so I am not sure what was going on.

We have Homeocming happenings this week which is hard not to have him home. He was crowned "King" last year and won' tbe there to pass it on this year. They will announce something as to why he is not there this year. The other K's are having fun doing "Spirit Week." They get to dress differently each day and today is "Sports" day!! Our game is Friday night after a great parade through our small town. It is always fun!
Sharon im glad your in better spirits:)))) God is watching our men!!!
Too bad he wont be there to give the crown away, but im sure everyone will be thrilled to know what he is doing:)))
As for me, im about to book our flights!!! We are flying spirit into chicago o hare... im so excited!!!
and no im not getting refundable tickets because God is So good and i have faith in his promises to us!!!!! I told my hubby in a letter yesterday that the next time he writes, he will be writing to tell me he passed his float!!!!!! So on that note, Im staying true to my lord and trusting in him to handle this for us!!!! GO369!!!!!!!! HOOYAH!!!
How much were the spirit flights?
KGS-
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
He will hold your husband up in that water, I told Kayla as she was having a prob passing her run, scream out his name, he will carry you over that mat. God comes when we call for him.

I sent this to my son today in a letter. This is good for all of our men.
Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

God is Good All the Time.
When my son was having trouble with his run while a dep we both took the verse Isaiah 40:31--They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength:they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.--This really helps us now too with all the marching they do..plus I had to tell him this week when he called that his 45 yo youth pastor had a bad heart attack. Yes he was upset but like I told him lean on you faith..the pastor will need to recover his strength but a stent later he is okay. I have learned to "talk" to my God more than I ever have and He
is the reason both of us will be ok...WIth Gods help ALL things are possible!!
Thanks so much tobianne! okeemom- I Sent my husband the same bible verse!!! along with a few others. he had some for me when he called monday! and i talk to the lord constantly because i know if it wasnt for him i would not have the wonderful husband i do!!! i know God will watch over our sailors!! and yes tobianne he is good ALL the time!!!! thank you God!!! go 369
