Hi all!  This is a discussion I've started for the families with recruits in Ship 2, Div 952.  Of course anyone can join, but this will help those of us in this specific group get to know each other.

If you go back to our main page and look at all of the discussions, you'll find one called Questionnaires. They are several "form letters" we can send our recruits to help us get answers to questions we forget to ask or just funny things to make them smile. My son loved the ones I've sent so far, he said since he doesn't have a lot of time to write it makes it easier for him.
I was so hoping for a letter today, but then remembered the holiday on Monday. My husband and I are headed to Michigan this weekend for Michigan State football. We lived in Lansing for three years when my husband retired from the Navy and went to school there. I am already thinking how strange it will be without our son there to cheer on the Spartans.
I keep reminding my hubby to keep his phone on and with him, JUST in case!
I ordered robbons, but not yet the tshirts. I'd better get on that I guess.
Have a great Friday all!
Have fun in Michigan this weekend! My parents were both from Holland so I know where you'll be! I went there a lot as a kid - in the summer time though.... Not a fan of the Michigan winters.... Happy Friday to you too.
My turn :) I rec'd the phone call on Friday along with 2 letters, So, that made for a great weekend. He's been so worried about the studying in all his letters, but then on the phone said that he's passing everything, except for the pushups. He has a somewhat bad elbow from years of throwing a baseball and so his elbow just gave out on him when he was right in the middle of it. So, hopefully that is healing and he will pass the next time. Not sure when that will be, does anyone know? He's excited about the weapons training starting, I think this week.
He said he already ordered all of us division t-shirts, so I guess I don't need to worry about that one. As far as the ribbons go, I think I will try to make my own. A friend has the cricut and it does all kinds of cool stuff for things like that.
Our family life is very busy with two kids still in highschool, and all that entails; homecoming last week, volleyball games, band trips, football games this week. Sometimes I think I can't wait for it all to slow down, then I quickly talk myself out of that. I know I'll miss it all when it does.
No news so far this week, hoping for a letter on Friday or Saturday, those seem to be the days they come.
Hope everyone has a great week and we all hear from our sr.
HOOYAH to 952!!! How did you get your updates? Did you get letters? I am still waiting for some to hopefully come this week. Thanks for sharing!
HOOYAH!! Thank you Liz for that update!! I haven't heard anything since last Friday, so glad they are doing well!!
HOOYAH!! Got two letters from Andrew today!! He says that he got fitted for his Crackerjack, and Popeye uniforms!! He also said he got his dixie cup, and feels so proud. We were going to buy the T-shirts, but he said he has already taken care of it, and that the DIV flag is really cool. He said the guy that designed it is a tattoo artist. Can't wait, so excited to see him!! Have a great weekend everyone, mine just got a whole lot better!!
I got THREE letters from Brandon Friday!!!! He had 4 wisdom teeth and 4 molars pulled so he was on bedrest for a few days and missed a chance to call. He said he was issued his dress whites and blues. Said they are awesome! His letters were dated Oct 3, Oct 4 and Oct 11th, and they all came the same day. He said to keep writing, writing, writing.
Have any of your son's said when Battlestations is for their division yet? I saw that either 366 or 369 is November 4th, they thought....
I got 3 letters today :) So happy. He didn't really have much to say except he misses all of us. He is still keeping a low profile and can't wait to be done with bc.
I have ordered the ribbons but am wishing my son orders us shirts. If not maybe we will be able to go to the NEX shop on base. If he is a Grad & Go I guess we will miss out on that one. I am really hoping he is not a Grad & Go. He goes to Pensacola Fl. next so he might be right?
My son heads to Pensacola too,but didn't think he'd be grad& go. What is your son going to be doing?
