Hello My daughter is Ship 11 Div 367 I have recd 2 phone calls and my husband just called me and said that I recd a letter in the mail today so I am heading home just as soon as my work day ends I can hardly wait. Her phone call was Wednesday and she did say they had not recd mail and ask me if i had recd her letter so I am guessing this is that letter. Hopefully you will receive a letter today . I feel really blessed that I have had a litte communication. Please let me know if you receive either. Take care and hang in there.!
Hi, thanks for writing .....I was so excited just got mail and in it was a LETTER!.....she is doing great...says she loves it. Such a relief to all is going good. Now just hope she gets to call soon...don't think she has mail yet either... Said she has made friend with lots of girls, and three she really likes. Glad you have heard from your daughter.....looking forward to Grad Day!...buying plane tics today..already have room reservations. Thanks Again....
I hope you get a letter or a call soon. I know exactly how you are feeling because up until today we had not gotten a call either. All sorts of crazy things were going through my mind. I think you are safe to go with that old saying, "No news is good news." If something goes wrong, they call home. If it is other things like my son having 4 wisdom teeth pulled, you do not hear from them until they are able to call. Able being the operative word lol.. I am sure she is doing just fine. This site is wonderful but you have to try not to read too much into some of the things when you have not heard from your child because I found myself getting really upset and depressed about not hearing from him when others were hearing from their child. Now I see that there was in fact a reason for him not calling. Your mind kind of gets carried away when you are so worried. It is all going to be fine and I am sure you will hear something soon. When did she leave? My son left for BC 9/21 so is she left after that, she might be close behind to call. Hang in there!
Hi she left Sept 21st....thanks for replying. My husband just called and he got a letter today, (He is away in Oregon doing a project)....she our daughter wrote him down there....and I got a letter last Friday. She is doing great, really likes it and said its just what she expect......making lots of friends. She has been give the Weapons Petty Officer position....very proud of her!......thanks for the comforting words, they are greatly appreciated!...Can't wait for grad day......I really don't want to cry that day,.....but know me I will!
I am not really getting the hang of this posting thing so I did not see your posts after the one about not getting letters. Sorry about that. I am glad you got calls and letters. Great to hear!
Received phone call yesterday around 3pm it was great to hear from her. All was good.:)
Congrats on the phone call that would be so awesome!. We have rec'd two letters now. One to me at home in Washington State...and one to her dad, whom is in Oregon doing a project!.....shes doing great.....and really likes it. What a relief! Hope we all get more encouraging news.......cant wait for grad day.
