Okay, so this is a fairly new group, and some of us don't know eachother a whole lot, so I figured this would kind of be an ice breaker type of thing. Kind of like a minature biography. KEEP IN MIND. OPSEC RULES!! NO FULL NAMES. Use the first letter of their first name, it keeps it safe. DON'T GIVE OUT HOME TOWNS. States are okay. (: Hope this goes well and everyone jumps in! To give YOUR biography, just comment the discussion with it(:

Seriously I dislike the idea of showering with other girls for next four years very much. plus I like sleep. LOL!
Yeah we didn't take a break he called it off completely and wants to be friends, but kept saying "I love you" guy's are stupid, mixed signals are not fun at all. Hope you two get back together too!
Thanks! and yes, guys are VERY stupid!! LOL. Stupid mixed signal emotionless boys.
I don't think guys guy's are unemotional as much as they don't know how to show them, so they just build up over time, then the break, and don't know what to do.
so awesome:)
what woman doesn't love a man in uniform(;
just can't stay away!!:)
Hi All- just joined this group so figure I'd post. My name is Meg; I was born and raised in Detroit, went to college in Kalamazoo, MI, and spent a year in Europe. I majored in English and Psychology. Last year I just bought a home in Baltimore - been teaching 12th grade British Lit in a low income high school for 5 years, bartend on the weekends, and run the SATs as a site supervisor. Im a bit of a workaholic but enjoy being busy and like the money to keep up with my expensive habits of traveling, seeing live music, and going out. I just finished my masters in education and that gives me so much free time so this year is a breeze. I'm 31 and my sailor, an AWV with one week left of A-school, is 24. We dated for months, not getting serious because we knew he was leaving, and 'accidentally' fell in love. Not sure how long we've been together - a year and a half? - but its so solid and wonderful. We both love travelling and laugh non-stop when we are together. I love his texts every morning and our calls at night. My last bf was a musician and always on tour, so I am used to the distance thing, but the strict schedule of the navy drives me nuts. It'll be nice when I move to be with him, but knowing me Im sure I'll stick around Baltimore awhile after we marry to save up money and finish my school year... just the thought of moving for a man is strange for me, as I am usually the one who moves away from the men in my life... this must be true love, eh!
that's so amazing meg! that you've been together about a year and a half and everything is so wonderful!!!
hope the best for you all :)
My name is Nicole I am 20 years old from Rochester, NY. My boyfriend we can all call J. He left on Nov 9th, 2010 (yesterday) for RTC. I am doing okay... spending my nights writing to him while dressed in his boxers, tshirt & chain and falling asleep with the Navy Build A Bear he made me before leaving. I am looking very forward to my journey as a Navy girlfriend and hopefully wife someday. I know there is a long road ahead of me but am well prepared to do whatever it takes.
Nicole- my bf also made me a build a bear too, how cute. I received a monkey in navy uniform what did you get? I hope you are doing okay girl.
I got a dog.. he named it Rufus. I love it. & Thanks I am doing okay.. how about you!?

I'm so jealous I never got a build a bear.... after deployment I  did get a puppy.  I love listening to his voicemails I have tons saved (ok that sounded stalker-ish) haha.

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to this navy for moms site haha (: I've been talking a lot with all the recruits moms for my PIR group but am glad I found somewhere that has younger girls (: I'm currently 18 and a senior in high school. I was born in China but I came to America when I was only one year old. I have played soccer my whole life and I started playing golf my freshman year of high school(: I'm in a program called the international baccalaureate program at my school (it's similar to AP if you know what that is- but it's world wide rather than nation wide). I'm hoping to go to university of san diego in the fall of 2011 and start with sophomore standing and major in biology (hoping to go pre med!)(:
So, my boyfriend N left for boot camp on October 26th, 2010 and I'm staying strong thanks to this site. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I received my first batch of real letters today so I'm pretty much on cloud nine right now (: N and I have dated for a little over a year now and even though we are apart now our relationship is going very strong. I had the love at first site moment with him which is pretty crazy to believe but it was true! (: He turns 19 on Nov. 21 ! & thankfully I get to go to his PIR in December. I can't wait to get to know all of you girls (:
Wonderful Kori! So glad you're here with us! We have a fantastic group of ladies here to lend a helping hand, or vent to, or ask for advice, whatever the case may be!!! Congrats on the letters:) You'll be getting into a routine of getting letters on certain days:) It's pretty awesome! In another few weeks he should be calling you!!!!!!!!!!!
he will call from and 847 number!! Otherwise it will say restricted, but it's probably him!
I don't know if you've ever been to Chicago, but I live 3 hours from GL RTC...and it's cold, so pack warm!:)
You'll be seeing lots of snow!
