Just got our letter today so not sure how many out there have the same information.  7 days in and he says it sucks !!!  probably so !!  we'll start writing to him,  encourage him to keep going and remember that you go through Basic Training, you don't stay there.   Better things await those who persevere !

God Bless all the recruits

Kathryn is - you going on a trip?
Hi LP--I'm from San Antonio area. Lovin' this weather. I didn't get a letter today but hoping for one soon. I think his next phone call will be to his dad since he spent his last call on me. Only 4 weeks from tomorrow!
K-her son has a bunkmate from Texas so I think that's why she wanted to know if anyone was from TX. Not that it would be your recruit, but you never know.
Hey everyone - got a quick phone call today, anyone else? He spent too much time trying different phones to get ahold of us and practically used up his phone time. Wouldn't you know we were home, just outside without a phone !!!
Darn !! but you just never know when they will call !
I got a call and it was so nice to hear her voice. She said the marching thing is still a problem. She is counting the days to graduation. Anybody else get a call?
I got a call as well. I made my day so much better. He said the division is working much well together...AND HE PASSED HIS RUN...I could not believe it he shaved 2minutes off his run. They have an academic test this wednesday, so I know they are all studying hard. He said the RDC's call them the toughest group...because of all this PT and Intensive training they have had to do. He said from now on out everything is team building activities, this should help things. And battlestations for them is Nov. 4th from what he said!!!
I missed a call today as I am away on vacation. She left a long message and said something about them not leaving Great Lakes on the 13th, but the 20th, but they keep telling them different things.
Does anyone know if they when leaving for a school after graduation they have to stick around all day on Saturday after graduation and we can't see them? My daughter is going to a school in that area and she said she didn't know if she would be able to see us on Saturday because she will be moving her stuff. I was kind of bummed because we were flying in for the graduation and hoping that on Saturday we would be able to spend a little time with them. Has anyone heard this?
My son is staying at GL for school also. He said it depends on their school as to when they move over. It could take a few hours on Fri. or they may not move over till Mon. I do know that when a friends son graduated he had watch on Sat. night so he had to be back by 6.
Just depends..I learned I am on Navy time now not moms time! Hope this helps!
Thank you for the information. So even if they have to move there will be some time when we could see her over the weekend I assume. this makes me a little more hopeful. Thanks again.
Not me but I'm sure as it gets closer to PIR we all should have more information. Hoping that's the case anyway.....
Mine is going to Charleston, SC for A school. If she leaves on the 13th and gets no liberty all we will have is Friday.
