For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My son is leaving Oct 6th for IL, anyone else?
I'm excited for him and his future, but sadened that I won't be able to speak to him for a few weeks.

HI!! Do you know if is posible for them to be held and don't start their 8 weeks a soon they get to RTC* or BC* is it the same thing?* If that where the case, do you think they will still giving you the graduation date? Thankyou

MsMaria most rcts are in Processing for a week...more or less so don't start actual boot camp till they are through with that.
RTC and BC are the same. RTC is just where BC is located.
The date on the form letter will be the PIR date regardless of how long they are in processing. Some of the things that will change the PIR date are if they get sick, fail a test, have disaplinary issues, fail some part of the physical tests, etc.
They are suppose to call you ASAP if their PIR is going to change.

I received my son's form letter on Saturday and he had written a small note note on the bottom. He left for BC on 10/6 and his letter said his PIR is 12/3. He mentioned that he was in the rush division 6.5 weeks.

My son left on the 6th as well, just got the letter on Saturday. His PIR is also 12/3 Ship 09 Div 015. He didnt mention anything about a rush division. what is a "rush division"?

From my understanding the rush division is rush through boot camp because of the holidays. My sons recruiter told me that the only time Navy takes off is Christmas and they all take their vacation at that time so they are in rush division so none of them run into the holiday due to maybe not passing something and their PIR being delayed. Hope this helps.

What Div is your son in? mine is in 016? Rush Div sounds good if they get to finish faster :)

How many recruits has this Div? I wonder, 'cause I have find 3 only! Any one else? My son's name is Max what's your's son's name? Im sure theres no problem if we share their names..;) At BC they go by their last name. God help them.

He did not mention but left 10-6 PIR 12/3 doesn't sound like much of a rush to me, but his recruiter did say they were in an accelerated program.

yeah because of the delayed program they call it DEP and my guy had been in that program for a year and thanks God he will be graduating in 12/3 less than 2 months from now... im so excited to see him again and hoping that he wont be a grad and go
