Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi Mary, Good to have you with us. I also have "civilian friends" that just don't understand my "slumps", espec when Jeff was in the "sandbox". My friend who has a son in the Army fully understands the ups and downs, as she's going thru them now also. If we want to talk about our boys,,,,,,,the hubbies just go out front and start tinkering with the motorcycle, or talk about cars. Both are ex military, so understand fully us both. This is a fantastic group of folks, and so many have great words of wisdom.

The form letter my son sent in the first week listed the Training Command website and "wham" there was the light! "Navy for Moms".... I love this site and appreciate all the moms who have joined us here to celebrate our children!

I'm not exactly sure how I found you either but it is the greatest. My son doesn't deploy until November but I check this site daily. I have found out tons of information.

I actually have a question right now, I just received in the mail a renewal form for my son to renew his drivers license on his 21st birthday--only he'll still be in bc then, what do I do????

Hello! I think I can help you with this. My son will turn 21 on his next birthday, we live in NY and he will be in Hawaii. Because his license says under 21 on it, he has to have a new license done. NY has a form that he filled out that will extend his license for 6 months after his separation from the Navy. Maybe there is a form like that where you live. You could send it to him and he could fill it out and mail it back to you, or you can bring it to him at PIR if you are going or mail it to him when he goes to his A school.
