Great for your call--I didn't get one but am glad someone did!! Any idea as to how heavy a week they have coming?? Just so happy we know they are all doing their best!!
No Idea he only had like 7 minutes (he split his 15 minutes up one for me and one for his momma) He wrote me today so I have a letter coming so I am going to assume everyone got to write as well. He mainly just talked about how they are the top division and could be in the hall of fame so I was excited for him :) lol I forgot to ask about what hes got coming this week because whenever he calls me my mind goes blank and I am a stuttering fool because I'm so excited lol
Got my phone call so here's the news I gathered: They had weapons training on the laser line Friday, live fire is Monday, they can earn a DIV flag for this, They have a drill inspection Tuesday & also test the group for individual streaming which involves marching without RDC, if they mess it up they will get tons of PT, so they are worried about that one. They had their 2nd PFA Thursday & all who were there passed, a few were SIQ, or elsewhere & will have to make it up. They had 3 inspections; zone (their rack & bunk), personal, and weapons. They have drill test 2 this week,(or may have taken it) poor kid gets pumped for info. in the short 7 minute phone call.
They did Marlinspike, had an hour to learn & practice & were to reenact scenario in 20 minutes, they went over by 10 seconds but 0 errors. Brother Div. was on time, but had 50 errors, GO 369!
I have days down now. They are 4-3 Monday 10-25, 4-4 Tuesday 4-5 Wednesday Then 5-1 Thursday 10/28,5-2 Friday 5-Saturday, 5-holiday, then Monday is 5-3.
In week 5 they have firefighter training & have gotten their coveralls. My son says they are the BEST of all uniforms cause they feel like pajamas. (He loves his PJ pants & comfort). End of five week or near start of 6 is gas chamber(confidence course). I told him how supported 369 is & got a HOOYAH from him. SO Hooyah to N4Moms!!!!
Awww that HOOYAH comment is so cute :) I heard in the background on the phone someone SCREAMED "I LOVE YOU"
Oh and I send sports articles once a week to my SR he says at night he passes them around for other guys to read lol its like theyve all become brothers lol
my hubby was still sick.. but they gave him more antibiotics so he is feeling better:) he said they are doing great and he passed all his tests or whatever.... He is so ready to finish. I asked him how did he like my creativity on his letters he said he loved it!LOL!! yes ladies! ive become a Creative person over the last 2 months. anything to make him smile!!!!
Haha I told my SR in a letter that the McRib is back November 2nd (something I know he would love to know) my SR told me he made an announcement when everyone got their letters and made it sound important and told everyone the McRib comment I wrote him.. He said everyone got a good laugh out of it.. I am glad he is able to make things funny for him and those around him
That's great, they have become a team and will watch each others' back! My son needed some good brothers lol
Christina, I send my SR sports articles too. He's a huge Sooners fan. I had to break it to him they were defeated Saturday night.
We received a call tonight as well, he sounded great very excited and very proud of Div 369 great group he was pleased with all the tests they passed this week and also mentioned the top of the division Hall of Fame Div very proud of that and looking forward to very hectic week a lot to do and very little time left. Keep sending letters he needs them he doesn't have much time to write they have a lot of studying to do. It was so great to hear his voice and sounded so pumped.
We received our call tonight and it was prayers answered for Kelsey and I. It is so awesome that they are still in first place for their division. GO 369!!! Diego was still sick, but still getting better. He also said "pink eye" was going around and he hasn't gotten it. We told him the plans thus far for the wedding and he is just so happy and I am sure relieved that Kevin and I have given them our blessings. We are so proud of them and we know with God in the forefront of their marriage, they will have a lifetime of happiness. Kelsey and I have gotten plenty done over the weekend along with her mom, two sisters, Kacy and my sister. It is so exciting to have heard from him. He only had 15 minutes and it was so cool that Kelsey was still at the house and had not left for college yet. So, we all got to talk to him. 369 ROCKS!!!!!!! It is getting so close we can taste it, right????????
So sorry if this is repetitive, but does anyone know if there is a significant difference between flying into O'Hare airport vs. Midway for PIR?
