Hey Ladies. When I was talking to my husband through our letters he said that he was taking his formal pictures (the one in uniform) on the 12th and would get them back in three days so the 15th. Well when he called last Monday he called his Mom and she asked hows your pictures? He said I have already mailed them so you should be getting them soon.. I was wondering if anyone else had there sailors mail there pictures home or do you know of anything about this situation?? I am dying to see them and they should have already been here. So just checking on your status. Oh and yesterday I printed out my parking pass and just started crying my eyes out. It like a sign that this is finally over and we are moving on to phase 2. I cant wait. Also he has recieved his orders and should graduate A school 1/11. Cant wait.

waaaaiiiiit a second!! Are you sayin that the recruits take their pictures and send them to family? I'm asking cuz i wanna make sure I understand what you're saying
I think they can send them to us or keep them till after pir and hand them to us. I'm sure my son will save his stamp money and give them to us after pir
Well. What I am saying is that my husband told me he was sending home his pictures. Now I don't know if that is true. That is what I am trying to figure out.
oh ok! I get you. Thanks, Alice. Hopefully, my wife will send a picture or just keep me on my toes, like she usually enjoys to lol, and just give it to me at PIR. BUT!! We shall wait and see. thanks again, ladies! positive vibes and God Bless
Yes, some of the sailors mail the pictures home. Others return to their ships right after PIR and then give them to you (both of these methods have to be paid ahead of time, obviously). For those waiting to pay on PIR Day, they pick them up at the NEX from what I have heard. Don't worry...your pictures will come!
woohoo!! Now if they sent the pictures, let's say sunday the 17th, when would i get them?
Now, Jose...THAT I don't know...but I know they will get there! Maybe they pay the photography service and they are mailed from them....so they may all go out at the same time. Most keep them and give them at PIR if family is coming, but I have read of ecstatic family members who have received them at home. Either way...it's all good!
ah ok! well that's cool. I guess i'm just really eager to see my wife. But i'm willin to wait lol. I've waited this long, so i think i should be able to make a couple of more days lol
I talked to my son last Friday and he said he mailed me the pictures so I could pick out what I wanted. I was gonna mail him a blank check but he said wait until I check out pictures. next Friday can't get here soon enough for me.
That is awesome. I cant wait to see my Husband.
No I know I have not received any kind of pictures and you are a very lucky to be able to speak to your husband. I know I got one phone call from my son, but I know at this point in his life his girlfriend is more important that his old mom, lol!!!
hopefully I will get a letter or something it has been 2 weeks and no letter. Alot of other relatives are gettin letters though and I know he said he doesn't have alot of time to get everyone in. If I get any pictures I will let you know. Good luck.
