For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Just got our letter today so not sure how many out there have the same information. 7 days in and he says it sucks !!! probably so !! we'll start writing to him, encourage him to keep going and remember that you go through Basic Training, you don't stay there. Better things await those who persevere !

LP - If BST-21 is Battlestations, that is Nov. 4th. I had read it in these posts a week ago and my recruit confirmed it yesterday during the phone call. Hopefully the rumor is not correct but we will all find out soon enough !

Hi Diana - I purposefully asked my son if all Div's. had Battlestations on the same day and he said yes, as far as he knew. Hopefully that helps. Did you get to talk with Charlie this week? I asked my son about the extra ticket and the extra room there would be at PIR. He said he would try and find out how to handle extra tickets. They were told that they could help out someone else in their Div. but beyond that, not sure. He said they will probably give info on that last minute which makes it hard for planning ahead. : (

Yah I think i read on Navy site, or in the CNN video...somewhere... 4 DIV go at once...the brother DIV to ours is 365

Hey there - thanks for the update. I'll put 365 and 366 on 11/4. I think it can be up to 4 divisions per night but not sure. I just got a letter from Charlie today. He is doing GREAT! Sounds so upbeat and proud of himself. But no news on BS21 yet. The letter was dated 10/18 and said it was week 4 day 1 - his Hell Week. This week he said was the gas chamber. No need to stress on the extra ticket - my hubby just told me his work may send him to RI that week.....

Couldyou let me in on the 11/4 battlestations? Obviously your recruits tell you more than mine is telling me. Is something special happening there. I didn't get to talk to mine but only for two minutes.

O.K. nevermind about getting back to me about battlestations. I just read all about it. How scary and wonderful at the same time when they come off that ship and trade in their hats. I wish we could be there to see that. So all of you have heard that is going to be November 4th?
