Hi, I am a Seal wannabe mom. Looking for other moms that are dreading Pre buds and then the big move to California for Buds after graduation.

Oh my. I say we don't mention WIND any more. We are from California and if we go to the desert, for off roading sporting trips, we aren't allowed to say the "W" word. IT's not allowed. I was just asking my husband if they'd delay flights because of ....well, you know. I hope not. I am getting there come hell or high water!
HAHA, I was just thinking the same thing. Afraid to go down stairs at the office in case I miss the call. I got a short letter in yesterdays mail too. He even forgot to write, Love, ????(his name). Can't read all of it as his hand writing is something else, but he sounded great.
hahaha. While it does get cold here in Chi, it wont be time for earmuffs and stuff. lol
Lol. Ok, I guess if 50 is cold for you. Just wear layers and you will be fine.
Yeah, right. I am from CA and as far as I am concerned, anything below 65 is freezing!
Like your "thinkin" CBMom! :) They sure are awesome!

Dropped in to see if anyone was getting calls. This would be about the time they'd start, though sometimes not until after 2pm GL time. Hang in there everyone! I know it's all so excruciating, but like giving birth, you will soon forget-once that call comes and you are seated in the bleachers at GL-all the angst of waiting, and enduring these past 8 weeks! :-)

They would not have done BS21 on Friday with Captain's Cup on Sat. If two other regular Divs are going through tonight and also went though yesterday, then I would guess the 823s are tomorrow. They have to let the 900s go earlier so they have a chance to recover and do final practices before their performance on PIR morning, and doesn't your PIR Group have two this time? Unusual. I don't recall having more than two Divs run it each night, but could be wrong there.

Btw: just an FYI sidenote: There is always a last chance BS run on Thursday night with one of next week's PIR Divs, if for some reason a Recruit doesn't pass. Then, they do not participate in their graduation ceremony for safety reasons. But of course, that's not going to be an issue for anyone from this crew. :) They've already shown what a strong team they already are! Just wanted you all to know, as you may see someone post on the main PIR Group wall about not passing BS (or a final run) and wanted you to be informed and maybe be able to reassure/inform them.
It is just horrible not knowing when they are doing BS ! My son really confused me with his letter. and us not getting calls. I sure hope it is soon so I can relax if it is wednesday night I will be on the plane when he calls and that will stink. I probably will miss it :( I will pray we all get calls soon very soon.
Whew! Just read through the entire thread of posts here. AngiefromWA:BUDS mom, you are an angel to post so much useful information! I'm so late to the party, I don't have a candle, a ribbon, or even any chocolate in the house! I really want to come to the meet and greet now to meet some of you! Hope we can make it!
You are welcome fredabee. Hope you do make it to meet these great ladies! =)

tsmom, no one owes me anything! I'm just paying it forward, and I'm sure you all will too at some point. :-)

Wish I could be there, sounds like it's going to be a great time, whether you meet the rest of the PIR crew or not. Hmmm, have Skype, could "travel"??? LOL Regardless, I look forward to reading about all of your new Sailors and chatting with you more on "the other side" of BC!
Thank you so much for the information! I think the only thing that has kept me sane the last 7 weeks is this group of ladies! God Bless all the sr''s and their famlies. Prayers going out for traveling mercies for all. Now off to work!
Hi Bonos-mom--thanks for the info! I really wish that they went last night so we could get our calls today. :(
There are so many loose ends and questions about what they will be able to do and what, if anything, to bring them. We will all be traveling on Thursday and some may even miss the call.
I think the weather will be okay by Thursday.
Hey TS mom. I have chocolate wine...it is suppose to really good. A friend of mine made us a basket full of chocolate too!! See everyone at 7ish. I have your numbers in my phone under one group.(new friends). Can't wait for the phone call.
