~Shipping~

Unfortuantley the Post Office site requires the Credit Card address to match the shipping "FROM" address!

So all the work that Pat:) and I have done with the site over the past 3 days is a Wash!

Does anyone have any advice on HOW we are going to SHIP boxes.

At this time Colorado and Illinois both have boxes ready to ship and it isn't an option for Molly nor I to fly to either one of those states and go to the Post Office with Chris and Pat!!...I know it would be fun but NOT doable!

these are some guidelines:

~Shipping MUST BE PAID for by Molly's Adopt a Sailor Bank Account

~We CANNOT, write anyone a check for shipping!

~NO checks can be issued to anyone personally!

~all funds for shipping MUST come from Adopt A Sailor

(get the idea?)

The post office has suggested "Shipping Assistant" or a 3rd Party!

That would involve, possibly paying MORE for shipping, is that an option, YES, quite possibly!

Does anyone know of a 3rd party that MAS can work with?

Ok let the HASHING begin Girls!

We truly need all Moms to help, any ideas?

I know I know..I feel a "gunners mate" shooting down all these wonderful ideas...I HATE to crash a party!
No I meant like pat using MAS PayPal account to print labels OR how about Molly printing the postage paid shipping labels at her house via the USPS website then mailing them to Pat and any other Packing party hostes?

I am thinking as much as I can.....
thanks paula..I truly do love how you ladies rally!
What about this option:

Automated Clearing House (ACH) Debit

With ACH Debit, pay for postage instantly, when you need it.

When you choose the ACH Debit option, you get postage instantaneously, as you need it. As long as there’s money in your bank account, you can turn it into postage with funds withdrawn on the day after initiation.

Here’s how it works:
Once you setup a debit account, postage is only a phone call or a few keystrokes away. ACH Debit will debit your bank account electronically, and give you immediate access to postage. For PC Postage™, contact your PC Postage company and ask for PostageNow™ (specify ACH debit).
OK Ladies..NYPD has an awesome idea here..She has contacted her local "problem solver"...
We all have them!!!! Everyone CONTACT you "Problem Solver"!!!!
Mine is Todd Ulrich, Channel 9 news! Gonna go write him!!!♥...
YOU GO NYPD
sounds like a mess just to get some care packages shipped.
Yes it is...USPS is not the easiest place to get a "CORRECT & complete" answer and those are the word of the day CORRECT & complete ! The PO never gives you a complete answer
And I SO think it is worth ever bit of time...they are not just "SOME" packages, they are for our troops!-look what they do for us everyday!!! ♥
so a little reading, a little banging of the minds...NOT A BIGGY ♥!!!
You bet it is a mess - no wonder our postal service is such a disaster!!! Always raising rates and the service gets worse & worse AND less and less for the money.
But there are just way too many care packages (last count over 200) packed and ready to go, not just "some". And those packages are just sitting there and not winging their way to Afghanistan where their contents would be so appreciated.
Did you find any different answers out your way - I always find the central part of the country to be much more accommodating than any place on the east coast?
we are moving forward!
I ACTUALLY HEARD FROM HER FIRST THING THIS AM!!!!!! She said she'd try to help and asked for more info re: our problem. Isn't that great?
Keep all extremites CROSSED..trying something...that was just too fruitlooping simple
Hey everybody, you won't believe this but I got an email from my problem solver at Channel 7 in Boston first thing this morning!!! She said she would try to help and asked me for more info on our problem. Can you believe it? I was so excited my hands shook while I quickly contacted Molly to find out what to say, I was nervous too. But I sent off a message to her telling her about us and our shipping nightmare. Took forever, it seemed, to write and then edit - didn't want it so long that she wouldn't read it to the end. Now we cross our collective fingers and wait. I'm hoping for a double hit - a solution to the shipping problem AND some publicity for Molly's here in Massachusetts. I even invited her to our MA Navy Moms packing party on Nov. 6th. Now I have to tell Lesli she could have a reporter w/cameras at her house in about 10 days! She'll probably call us all to come on Friday to help her clean house... Sorry, Lesli if you are reading this, should have told you first.
