Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hi all!  This is a discussion I've started for the families with recruits in Ship 2, Div 952.  Of course anyone can join, but this will help those of us in this specific group get to know each other.

That's great, from the picture you had up of Charlie when we first got on here; it looked like he was dark complected so that very well could be him!
Diana, where do you go on FB to look at the pictures from PIR? Thanks!
Search for Recruit Training Command, once you like it, you'll be able to see their wall and info and photos!

One of the kids in my class asked me what my son was going to be for Halloween. I said "a sailor" and he thought that sounded cool. I was cracking myself up! Halloween is my son's 19th birthday- so so weird not even making our traditional pumpkin cake. I was so happy to read all of your posts about how well our boys are doing!
Here's a picture of our children dressed up for Halloween, thought I would share with you ladies...

Cute!! Halloween is such a fun holiday- we love it here. Especially since it's Travis's birthday! He always had a themed bday party!
I loved the Halloween pics.....
Diana I tried to bring up the pictures but did not have any luck. I guess I did not do something right????? Will try again tomorrow.
Are we the only divisin that has gotten only one phone call? This is driving me crazy?
I'm not sure....but it does seem that way. The only thing I keep reminding myself of is our guys have double duty while there - they have regular boot and then the special stuff they need to learn for being in a 900 division. They must be slamming hard to learn it all and are probably just as upset that they haven't been able to call. But just think....It's just next week and we'll see them! We can make it!!!
I was so hoping for a call this weekend. For some reason I had it in my head that it would happen. But of course it didn't! I did dream last night that we took Travis to get a black backpack and he wanted to go to a water park to get it. So we went to the wp and then he was worried we wouldn't make it back to the base on time. WEIRD dream! Anyone have news on the battle stations?
ziggyi - yesterday Tammy-Andrew's Mom said her son told her in a letter he probably won't be able to call until the 10th so we are thinking that means BS21 is the night of the 9th.....but I don't know if anyone knows for sure yet
