Hi all!  This is a discussion I've started for the families with recruits in Ship 2, Div 952.  Of course anyone can join, but this will help those of us in this specific group get to know each other.

I'm so happy to have found this group! (Even though we are 11 days away from PIR) My husband is in Div 952. He will then go to Port Hueneme for 'A' school to become a Seabee.

He didn't tell me at all about when BS21 would take place, so its nice to find others who might know something. I'm pretty sure we won't hear from them until after they get their Navy Ball caps. He tells me in his most recent letter that they are the sickest division in BC. He also tells me that as a division they take a lot of "hits" for not getting things right. But I'm sure with all of that they will all pull through to pass BS21.
When your husband said "sickest division" was that sick as in cool or sick as in sick?
As in not well--health wise. That is what he wrote. He said that his RDC said that they are the sickest division in all of BC. They had a lot of people in SIQ and LLD (sick in quarters and limited light duty (which means they can't run, jump, do certain exercises so they can get better). But he assured me that by the time I got that letter they would all be getting better. I hope that too.
Gotcha - my last letter from my son said he had an ear infection but was on meds....I'm sure they are all recovered and ready for the rest of their time there!
I thought my son was the only one who had only one phone call. I kept telling my self he must be always getting into trouble. He promised his GF a call at least 2 times on a Sunday but they never happened. It is good to hear it was his whole group. A lady I am chatting with from Fla. her son left last Tuesday and she all ready received a 20 minute call from him just because his group did good. I told her that was great. Cherish it. So every group is different. I just know we are almost to the finished line (PIR).... We are not flying in till Thursday around 6:00 PM I am sure he will call his GF before then. She is so afraid he will not make it... She is not answering if it is the I did not make it call. I told her to not worry they want them to pass. I think he will be O.K......
I got a letter today. Nick said that if all goes well with BS-21 everyone will grad. But the darn kid would not think of telling me when BS-21 is scheduled for. Go figure. I am so proud of our guys and can't wait to see them all. You ladies have been a "God sent" these last couple of weeks. Thank you all:)
I hope someone receives a letter saying when BS-21 is scheduled for. I'm happy to hear that if all goes well everyone will graduate. I hope to get a letter sometime this week from my husband.
So happy you got a letter! I'm hoping for one today hopefully with the date in it! But it is so good to know that everyone will pass as long as all goes well with BS21 - and why wouldn't it? Our guys have made a great team!
My son wrote that BS-21 is at the end of this week. And the reason I kept getting the weeks mixed up is that the 1st week is called P week instead of week 1....so it goes P,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and done. So when I thought it was week 5 it was really week 4 in their jargon. How confusing can it get? Anyway, they are almost there!!!!
Thanks for the info. The "weeks" starting with P Week totally makes sense! But it is confusing if you don't know. I'm so excited for 11/12!! Yay!
Has anyone from Div. 952 been able to print out the gate pass yet?
I've been able to print it out. I just typed in the password that was sent with my husband's Intro packet. (I typed it in all caps just the way he spelled it out).
