While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Just got our letter today so not sure how many out there have the same information. 7 days in and he says it sucks !!! probably so !! we'll start writing to him, encourage him to keep going and remember that you go through Basic Training, you don't stay there. Better things await those who persevere !

I haven't gotten mine going yet. BS21 doesn't start until 7pm and I wanted to wait until close to then to do it. I'm getting so excited I can't contain myself!!

You are so cute! You are going to be a basket case by next Thursday. I guess I really didn't know the exact time and I could be home all day today so just decided to lite it earlier. Your b/f and my son better help them get it together and no chatting!! 8^) ← this is a picture of them in nerdy thick plastic glasses ☺ my son doesn't care for them but he's smart, he's they're okay cuz they are free !!

you know 7 p.m. is different for all of us depending on time zones. I am in the same zone as GL but maybe we should all be on their time zone which is Central. So, you could technically start yours at 8p.m. your time.

I have one burning in the kitchen on the stove, and another in my bathroom so I'll think of my son if I wake up in the night. Lit them both around 7 PM and am REALLY looking forward to a call tomorrow sometime from a sailor. I got a letter yesterday and Cody said the Confidence Chamber was not all that bad. Go figure! He said he breathed really shallow through his nose and all he got was a runny nose and teary eyes. Note to future boot camp recruits: breathe through your nose, shallow breaths...
Everyone--let us know how your recruit does in BS21. Hope the 366 comes through with flying colors! -
