Just got our letter today so not sure how many out there have the same information.  7 days in and he says it sucks !!!  probably so !!  we'll start writing to him,  encourage him to keep going and remember that you go through Basic Training, you don't stay there.   Better things await those who persevere !

Just joined n4m's but I have been reading this site for the past few weeks. I am so excited to see my stepson on Friday. Yes, I am his step mom but I love him as if he was my own. We will be staying at the Residence Inn also and would like to say hi on Thursday night if anyone wants to share. I decided to call myself his Bonus mom because I hate the connotations of the term step mom. Just sharing and Congratulations to all the mom, steps, dads, girlfriends, wives etc.. who will attend on Friday.
kdb-good to have you aboard ! Will look for you to say hello. We will probably be getting in too late to chat but will see you on Friday.
hey there kdb - my husband is coming and he is the step-dad....but I really like your term Bonus dad even better! I'll have to share that with him. I'm also at the Residence Inn....will you be coming to the Meet & Greet at the Ramada from 6-8 on Thursday night?
