Just got our letter today so not sure how many out there have the same information.  7 days in and he says it sucks !!!  probably so !!  we'll start writing to him,  encourage him to keep going and remember that you go through Basic Training, you don't stay there.   Better things await those who persevere !

God Bless all the recruits

Diana>So, how was battlestations? What's the word?
Okay, never mind. I just saw that it was tonight. What happened to Sunday night? Oh well, at least they will now get it over with. 369 and 370 are still Wed. nite I assume? If so, they wll be mighty tired at PIR. Not sure when they will sleep since they get done at 7 a.m. and PIR starts at 9 a.m., family will want to spend some time with them. I don't think that was good scheduling but........
Not sure why the change but actually I think tonight is 369, 370 AND 952.... I was able to confirm 952 when my son called Saturday night and told me. I guest they were kept in the dark and told both dates for while which is why there was so much confusion.... So I think all will be done and SAILORS this time tomorrow.... This stress is killing me! :-)
You know, you are going to kick yourself for being so stressed, don't you ? Am glad all the other Div.s are doing it tonight. Makes so much more sense. Seems like it's just that last battle to get through then, some down time. Hopefully you will get some rest before you leave for GL. Our den mother must be in tip top shape come Friday!! Come on now, you can do it!!!
At least you will get to leave GL and go back to a warmer climate. I suppose we Northerners must face winter at some point ) : .
I took an "assessment" recently for work which determined that I don't handle stress well....really? Go figure! LOL But I am working on it. There is nothing I can do for my son or the other SR's going through BS tonight other than pray and send support. So there is no sense worrying and staying up all night.... My only other challenge is dear hubby....but he's easy. If he isn't up to the flight after his MRI Thursday morning then it will just be me! HOOYAH!!!! Let's party! (oops, was that my outside voice?)

As for the weather, I grew up in Maryland, then spent a few years in PA and IA. I've paid my dues----come visit any time though! :-)
I am with you about stress. I have been so stressed after talking to my daughter and how she isn't assigned yet. They certainly stress us out.
yes, I believe myself and my recruits girlfriend will be there. We are both blond, I have little longer hair and hers is a little blonder and shorter. Do you know if there is a cost associated with the meet and greet? We are so excited and anxiously awaiting. Also waiting on the Honor recruit posting. It will make it more real when I see his name up there. Hope to see you!!
another call from my hubby...yah!!! crap i mean hooyah!!! he dosent think he will be able to call again but still so nice them being first and getting this time "off" he was slamming on supreme pizza hut pizza...glad hes having a good time...cant wait to see him...got almost everthing i need for the trip...bring more "cold gear" then i would if i wasnt hoofing the train...im mostly stressing over getting the house ready for me to be gone and for winter...blarg...so much im use to reling on him to help with...

hey idaho...is your sons names kunz or something like that?
No it is a girl! Poor thing didn't get her orders and is afraid she will be held up for another week in that terrible place when everyone else is leaving. I hope she get some orders on Wednesday. I feel so bad for her.
I haven't talked to my daughter, but she was on facebook today. changed her profile picture, posted on my wall "i love you mommy" and changed her status to let people know that she will have her phone on Friday and be making calls.
I didn't know that they had access to computers yet. Are they allowed to have their cell phones after they graduate? I am bringing my daughters with me.
Someone said they were having computer access yesterday, but I didn't see any evidence that my daughter had been online. Her fb status was still what I had last posted (at her direction).

They can use their cell phones on Friday, but they can't take them back inside. Even though they are graduates, cell phones aren't allowed where they sleep.
