OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Just got our letter today so not sure how many out there have the same information.  7 days in and he says it sucks !!!  probably so !!  we'll start writing to him,  encourage him to keep going and remember that you go through Basic Training, you don't stay there.   Better things await those who persevere !

God Bless all the recruits

i saw another group that all arranged to ware pink scarfs...we shoulve thought of something like that...
still could.......
Also, when we talked to our Sailor, He said when you walk in the door go to the right and sit in the middle right hand side for the PIR. Please save me a seat as I am not on the official list. I know I will get in due to the low number of graduating sailors but.....My Husband will be sitting in the honor section(hopefully). The Navy does not really allow or take in to account a divorced family. So, we are working with what the Mom will allow since she is the one that receives the official notification. With all this, I still have a positive attitude that this will be a wonderful weekend!!!

WOW, what a day yesterday. So exhausting but well worth it. He's gone now to the next part of his schooling and today brings up all sorts of emotions. Glad for the time yesterday but not long enough. They have changed some but for the good.
I have joined the next group of moms for our A school so not sure how often we'll re-connect. Glad to have gotten to meet some of you face to face and you never know where we will meet again.
Good luck to you and your sailor. I want to thank all of you for all of the information to help me through the difficult times of not knowing what was going on and feeling so much better about her joining the Navy.
Thanks Again and God Bless.
