We are actually thinking of leaving the teens back at the hotel with the 2 year old, he is not the easiest to handle right now and is very energetic. The others aren't to interested in getting up early and all so they will get to see thier brother after he graduates. We aren't totally decided yet. It's hard because we have such a big family!! Though we have to survive the ride there first, lol !!!
Stacey, I think that's a great plan.

Betsy
True! You might decide to leave them all at the hotel after that ride! Think, early morning breakfast, just you and your hubby...paradise :) Susan
Extras can wait outside until all are seated and then if there is room, they can come in. I expect there will be plenty of room since we have fewer divisions than some. However, 2 is really squirmy young. And 0dark30 is plenty early. LOL
2112 miles 1 say 10 hours. The good news is that it is a straight shot on I-80 :)
1,466 miles... and the way it looks we may have to drive. We have too many kids to afford to fly. Our budget will allow McDonald's on the way... lol
That will definetely be a big hit with the kids. lol

Betsy
LOL I am thinking I might pack a cooler and tell the kids we can't afford Mcdonalds :) It's going to be a fun trip but does cramp your budget a week before Christmas!
I was thinking of getting a room with a kitchenette or at least a microwave. You can take a slow cooker for the room or with an adapter for the car cigarette lighter. Slow cooked briskett. December travel is our Christmas this year. I'm not complaining .
It's fun to see where everyone is coming from and whether you are flying or driving.....keep the distance posts coming.
I'm feeling pretty good about my 2 1/2 hour plane ride. :)

Stacey, you definetely have a full house and I would think the two year old, is definetely going to be a challenge. My prayers are with you. ((hugs))

Susan, I think the 2 year old might have beat your 17 year old? Although, maybe not because sometimes 17 year old's do act 2. lol

It really is amazing to see how far and wide we all are from each other.
Ladies, There is never a dull moment around here. I think that is partially why I don't worry so much about my Recruit. With everthing that goes on in our house on a daily basis I am sure it has prepared him (a little) for what BC will throw his way.

Susan- I will gladly add your teen to my crew for the ride and I can assure you it will straighten him/her right up. lol, kind of a different sort of Boot Camp, lol.

twosilvatwins- We will be hitting a lot of McDonalds on our trip as well. Thank goodness for the $dollar menu.

What a fun Discussion!! :0)
