The ships do not have Wifi. Not unless he's talking about the barracks at A school, which are called "ships". Even then, they have to pay for their own, and often a group of roomies gets cable internet installed.

In the fleet, they are not supposed to access the internet on their personal devices. This is for security reasons. Most ships aren't fitted with wifi anyway. I believe a few have the capability, but it is only turned on now and again as a special reward. I could be wrong. The usual procedure is to find a hot spot in port. Many ships do have email through the shared ship's computers. It is screened and censored. The reason this info is so hard to come by is it is an OPSEC violation to discuss the communication abilities of our fleets. Even speculation... oops. Well, you get the idea. Pretty much, no.
Yes, I do understand Anti M.

I just thought that it was funny that he thought I would know how to find that out. lol
Yeah, I know fleet sailors and can't get a direct answer.
And forgive me, I tend to "over-answer" as there is always someone reading who doesn't know. Habit of mine and pretty darn annoying, huh? LOL.
I couldn't read my daughter's handwriting. My husband had to. LOL
lol I wonder if my boy has the top or bottom bunk. Is D tall. CJ is over 6' 2" and so he would not fit between bunks I am sure. Owie for D
No, D is only 5'10". I'm sure the taller guys really have a problem with this! Susan
My daughter said she had bottom bunk, but she is only 5' 3". She said she is on her 3rd top bunk person. I didn't know they moved around. She also said it is cold at night and the blanket is scratchy. Poor sweety! LOL
In my letter today T said they told them the governor of California, Arnold Swarzenegar (spelling ?) died. He asked me if it was true or if they were just messing with them. hahaha, he figured they were they were just messing with them. Daria
Oh my goodness . lol
D told me the same thing. I assured him that they were messing with them. He figured they were, but wasn't 100% sure. Susan
I wonder why they are trying to kill off The Terminator? That's funny.
