I got my first letter today. YAY! 1.5 pages and every one of the form letters completely filled out. Hand writing so bad, my husband had to read them to me. She says 75% of her div905 are in BCG (birth controls) and her haircut makes her look 7 years old. She is on the bottom rack and so far has had 3 different people on the top but they were all nice. She wrote on Veterans Day so it took a full week to get to Texas. She likes her RDCs and the Chief is a great leader and says they are really dedicated to making sure everyone passes. Boot is about what she expected, although the fall weather has been warmer than expected. Says she gets more mail than anyone in the division (yay, me) and appreciates it. She asked for a manila envelope to send mail back home. Got 5's on inspections, passed the swim, but could not complete the run because of dizziness, she has been coughing a lot.

She says the RDC's say 905 is the "talkingest" division EVER!

She is itchy constantly (dry skin) and got busted for scratching in ranks. She also got busted for "smiling too much".

She says that one of the senior Triple Threat div has a girl who does cadence operatically on Saturdays before performance drills. Wow, I am so impressed.
Jewel, Yay for the great letter.

I did have to laugh about her looking 7. lol
I'm just sooo relieved to hear. Thanks.
I got my letter today. He wrote a note AND answered my survey questions. At the end of the survey which asked what he liked best, he said, "my favorite part is that I look bad ass in my NWU's." His note had the following amusing comments:

1) It's November 14 here not like I'm really keeping track though.

2) Tell [my brother] that when I get to Virginia he's going on my workout program with me.

3) Holiday routine is great, but it's almost over so it's time to log out and kick some ass.

He signed it your (demon) seaman recruit, [T]

Apparently, their division is now called The Demon Seamen. I'm just so thrilled to get a letter!
Sharon, I'm so happy you get a letter today Woohoo!

I love the Demon Seamen. My A is in that group too.
My son's form letter read.. training is going fine. Processing is a pain in the ass and it's extremely fast paced. Learning to adapt(like he has a choice !!)Found out our grad date is earlier than we thought. May even be home for xmas!! Love you all,S
I got a letter from H yesterday and she said that she hoped that her dad and I had a good Halloween, that they didn't get anything...not even cookies. (she mentioned cookies in my husband's letter as well. She must really want cookies)
CJ is asking for me to bring Cookies to PIR - he said he missed my baking!!!
I guess there will be a lot of baking going on, right before PIR. lol

Betsy
Hello to all...even though I am in the PIR 12/22 group, I stop by to check in on you guys....Love the letter's from your SR's, they made me giggle....my son wrote in one of his letters "got our camo's I look buff".... :o)
You know, a lot of the boys have mentioned they like their camo's but my son hasn't said a thing! Only thing he has said is that he has been eating too much food and is now only eating salad's for lunch and dinner. Maybe that's why! He doesn't like the way he looks in them yet! Susan
I bet he does look buff and when he comes home all the girls will turn their heads.
