For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

PIR Hotel help needed
I need a cheap hotel that offers a shuttle system to the base and back. I am also trying to find a hotel that offers a shuttle system from the airport, if at all possible. (I am traveling alone and a taxi just makes me nervous. But will take one over renting a car.)
I know a lot of the word of advice is to rent a car. However, I am not old enough to rent a car. Nor have I ever driven in a big city. Rather just not bother and save myself the stress and anxiety.
I'm trying to find this information on the hotels' websites, but I can never find if they offer shuttles or not. I was searching for over an hour and figured I should just take my question to those who know, I hope no one minds me posting this.
Thanks in advance for any tips/advice. ^_^

Most of the hotels offer "shuttle" service. It is just a mini van they fill with people coming and going to PIR. It is $5 a person. There are trains to and from also - you might want to see about that instead of a taxi.
The Navy Lodge is about 2 miles away and probably the cheapest - not the nicest.

I was pretty sure they didn't have a shuttle from the airport... or do they have a shuttle from the airport? (Sorry that's nearly as important as the shuttle to the PIR)

There is a shuttle service (taxi) from the airport but it is about 75 bucks one way
