I want to thank you ladies for adding your news, questions, and info in the PIR site too! I appreciate it soo much! Yall are one big familyswith LOTS of kids! And you may never know who might be wondering about something that you will have the insite or answer or calming touch that will help them unless you are there. Remember, as you recruites are learning to work together as a Team - you all in the 01-07-2011 are a Team here to help and love each other and each others recruits!
Hey guys just got a 3 minute call. Son said was going to be an hour but down to three. Get your phones in hand! They are on Week 2 Day 5
He said they were supposed to get an hour, but got it knocked down to three minutes. He sounded very good. If you don't get a call-which it sounded like they all were, I will tell you what my son said. But I don't want to spoil it for you. Sounds like Div 907 is getting to make calls too.
Bonnie,

Like you might have seen on other posts-they only had 3 minutes.signing up for charities and college benefits through their pay. weapons test today-Scholar flag for the test they took-He didn't know what score he got but the div must have done ok Marching is getting better. got all their uniforms: dress blues, whites (peanut butters- Khaki shirt black pants) were sent away for tailoring. Week 2 day 6 today. Wearing working uniforms now-blue camo. That's about it. LIke others I was so taken back, by the limited amount of time I was just sort of numb when I got off the phone. But He sounded way better than me. Very calm and upbeat. I know your son was probably working-my son already has had "watch" so he will call!
I got my call an hour ago and I was in walmart of course my phone didn't ring I look down and there is the missed call. I was so upset I started to cry so you see this 50 year old woman crying in Walmart needless to say it wasn't pretty lol. I called his
girlfriend and she called called me later crying her phone was on mute from school so she missed both his calls. I feel sooooooooooooooo bad for him I hope he doesn't feel like we have gone on with our lives and do not miss him. I am going to send him a letter tomarrow.
I got my call when I was with my mom, she has alzheimers and I was with her at her hair appt. I only got up for a minute to help her and when I came back to my phone, I saw the prefix 847, but he had just hung up, leaving a short message, hi, i m fine gotta go. I was so upset, but when I got home he had called the house so he had used up some of his precious 5 min. there, he said they were going to have an hour but got that taken away so only 5 min. still it was good to hear his voice saying he was fine, he sounded tired. I am so glad for this site as I was thinking, well, maybe one of you ladies actually got to talk to your SR. Let us know any news!
How do I put the ship # and div by my name?
I got my phone call on my way home from work- about 6:15 EST. Last name starts with W. I feel bad because I had to work 1 1/2 hrs overtime, and wasn't home when he called. My husband didn't get to talk to him. He said everything is going good, but he is very tired. It's a big change, from sleeping in every morning, and getting out of bed to eat, and work out. Then back to his room to watch tv and play video games, between texting and messing on his computer!! He said he heard the next time might be around the 16th. i'm going to be sure I'm not giving extra hours at work, and try to be home!

Anyone know who Beenie is? He said he is friends with her son. If you know her, send her my way!
Hello all...I got my call at 6:20...He had a 5 minute call that had to be shared with me and his girlfriend. I was shocked to see the pay phone on caller id, never expected it on a tuesday evening...It was a small miracle that I was home and his girlfriend got her call too. He sounded very tired but said he was doing fine. They don't have any information on graduation (grad n go ??) but he is hoping to spend the weekend with us. He said he only gets to write on sundays, if there is time, so letters are rare. We got to say we Love and Miss each other and that was it...I felt numb when we hung up...his girlfriend texted me about 3 minutes later saying she spoke to him for a minute and he had to get off...I'm so sorry for all who didn't get a call yet or who missed it....
I know I get torn cuz a part of me wants all the time he has to spare but the other knows he really wants to talk to her. Oh well thats kids. Tomorrow I was going to make my reservation is there any one place this group is staying? Also does anyone know if we can send something special for xmas? and if so what can we send? I really love this sight I feel like I am with him by just writing and reading what all you moms write.
Hi Ladies I do not know if you have a t-shirt or anything going for your ship/div but I made this iron on transfer that I ironed on ribbon and then sewed it on blue silk scarfs. thought you might like. It turned out beautifully.

I got more letters today! YEAAA! Ok, found out that Beenie is not the mom, but the friend of my son's and he is from California. Anyone know who that is? He sounded good. Lovvved the Thanksgiving meals. He said that they messed up the inspections pretty bad, and weren't allowed to talke on Thanksgiving, but he actually enjoyed the quiet! He's looking forward to everyone working together as a team-- some of them haven't figured that out, yet. He loves shining his boots! and takes pride in getting them to look like mirrors! He would like his div to get on the wall of fame. He says that he passes the painting that B's div made and he wants one up there, too! He's missing all the normal stuff, but is glad that he is there, and glad that the end is in sight. Might get to go off base for Christmas. YEAA!!!!
