OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I see in Austin you are tied to the Austin Rodeo but on that website I don't see any mention about Navy events. I suppose you are working with some of the event coordinators there ... or are you just exhibiting?
We are coordinating to have the Leap Frogs (Navy Parachute demonstration team), the Navy Band, and Sailors at the Austin Rodeo, as well as having other events throughout the city. We are still in the planning process, but as events are confirmed they will go on the web site.

Also, if you have an idea for a "Navy for Moms" event, or one open to the general public, please let us know!
Tampa is the first Navy Week in 2011, held in conjunction with the Gasparilla Pirate Festival Jan. 22-29. Austin is Mar. 19-26.

Los Angeles Navy Week will be the closest Navy Week to Sacramento in 2011. The Los Angeles Navy Week will be July 25-31, 2011, in conjunction with the Summer X Games.

Sorry St Louis will not be represented this year, but you have to spread a good thing around. Do you have the Indianapolis dates yet, since that is my hometown? Thanks! Navy Weeks ROCK!
I am so glad you enjoy Navy Weeks! Indianapolis Navy Week is Aug 13-22, in conjunction with the Indiana State Fair. The Navy parachute team "Leap Frogs" and Navy divers are both scheduled to participate.

As events are confirmed (around June) they will be posted at: http://www.navyweek.org/indianapolis2011/
