Boo.... that is farther away
Lisa GL: They have a special corps side on the whole other side of the base. He says they have to take the bus to go get chow. :D i need to add you as a friend.

Z just arrived to his room. He said no one was onsite maybe they were on the bus to chow :) When did your son graduate? Mine graduated on 12/22.

Have you heard from Z? Mine said it was tobacco free and they can only hang out in their side unless they are on duty or liberty and the chow is better on the other side :(
I talked to Z he had liberty today. He was able to go to the Nex. He hasn't mentioned anything about chow. I hope chow isn't better on the new side Z didn't much like chow on the other side LOL! I guess it's hard to feed that many at one time. Has your son found anywhere with wifi? My son has his nook that has wifi on it. I know he found the pay computers. I was hoping he would find a wifi spot so he didn't have to pay.
No I just got off the phone with my J and he says no free WiFi. He has used someones portable one. Im going to have to call AT&T to set up a router for him...he has seen a couple of trucks up there.
Maybe the USO or the loft on mainside but im not for sure
That was actually his own words

I just assumed they would have free wifi. I guess maybe it's a security issue? I'll have to look into a few things for him I guess.

CJ had the internet hooked up I guess it is costing him about $45 a month. Not sure though - a group of guys can split the cost if they are going to room together for while.
Ok Z found out that the bowling alley that is right next to the corpsman barracks has free wifi! The McDonald's on post does also. That makes me feel a lot better. The computers in the barracks are $6/hr for internet and $9/hr at the NEX.
Lisa Thanks I will let J know to pass the word on....great job Z!
