I, too, think the yellow scarf is a good idea. His division color is navy blue, so that will look good with the yellow. We're from Michigan and U of M fans, and their colors are yellow/blue. Although the boy is an MSU fan, so he'll think it's funny that we're wearing that color scarf. He'll tell us we'd look better in green/white which is MSU color. So for that reason alone, I think we should definitely do the yellow scarf with the division color put into it somehow. Plus, like others have said, we'll recognize each other as N4M's. I think my daughter will want to wear one also. I'm not sure the hubby will though. haha
okay i've been off line a short while.. love the yellow/gold fleece scarf idea.. will try to find some over the weekend.. off tomorrow/ twins birthday the 1st (mom and aunt 85) hubby's birthday the 2nd.. i will be seeing a new navy for mom, her daughter went in day before my son, and they know each other.. only took us 2 weeks to find/meet each other at bar watching the "Bears" play. i had to laugh and play mama to her.. she missed her phone call home and didn't know about this site gave her the info though.. was so good to hear from my son, even though letter was short... he wrote though.. plus big sister got a letter too...
Jmazzsmom- some are wearing yellow with division color, (listed in original post) with the yellow. this will look great and our SRs will be able to find us in the crowd!!
Absolutely love this idea!!   Will give me something to do also.  My son's favorite color is orange, which is his division color so that is awesome.  I love this site!!!

Ok so is this correct???? We ALL (N4M's)  are wearing yellow/gold scarves with our divisions color somehow integrated any way we can?????  Just making sure. LOL

Also since 804 is already the yellow/gold, I am suggesting to our group that we just leave it and not add anything.

Another friend said if someone cannot sew the additional singel division color onto the gold/yellow that they could also just wear two, one of the divisions and one yellow/gold and have then intertwine... Just a thought to share.

So Ame,,, if this correct on all N4M wearing the yellow /gold and adding the division color can you add that to the post on all boards as an official word so there in no more confusion? LOL

Mama --- That's the plan -- I love the idea of the intertwined scarves ... but Lexsmom is making a couple examples of what it would look like to put another color in the yellow scarf, just in case someone wants to do that.  I think that it doesn't matter, really ... we've all gotten to know each other, regardless of division.  We're praying for each other, laughing with each other and crying with each other.  So ANYONE in the Chicago area wearing a yellow scarf that weekend --- no matter WHERE they are --- will end up getting a big hug from someone ... maybe we should warn the rest of the citizens?  :-)
Sorry, Keep forgetting about the discussions....yes I think we decided that bright yellow/gold is the color of the main scarf.  Those who want to add division color are/can.  Lexsmom was making a sample this weekend to show us her suggestion.  I think tls is right...anyone with a bright yellow/gold scarf might get an extra hug, N4M or not! LOL!  And remember...Aprul and Lala Ribbon Queen both have discussions/info if you want to get a ribbon for PIR with your recruits name and division on.
Ok, sounds like we have a plan, Yellow scarves. Great, I like using the Division scarf as an accent. I will still work on the scarf ribbon idea and post a photo. Going to buy fabric tomorrow and will see what we get. :)

I love this idea! Can't wait to see what these.  I am in :D

Husband will think I have gone nuts ;)

Daughter will know I am still nuts lol

I went shopping today to see what I could do for Div 069 Lavender. It looks HORRID with the yellow fleece. I did find a 1'1/4" wide ribbon that has the middle as lavender and the outer edges as black. It looks good on the yellow for the scarf. So I bought it and will try making one tonight. I will post a picture of it tomorrow.
Mikki, I can't wait to see what it looks like! I am running to shop in the morning to see what I can find!  Thanks for sharing, I think this will be great once it all comes together!
I am so confused, did we decide on a color for all N4M or by division? Did ship 04 div804  decide? Please let me know!!
