Mikki, the one that has the "yarn fringe" is double thickness.I made it thin so it can be wrapped closely around the neck. And the sky blue is not my first pick with the yellow....but it will work for the weekend. Thanks for your input. It will be great to see everyone "coming together for our SRs"

Lexsmom - I was thinking that your boa scarf would look good if the two colors (yellow and division color) were layered together in the lightweight fleece, sewn together and then fringed.

The division color would be sandwiched between layers of yellow, so there are three layers of fleece (no ribbon). Sew it 2 or 3 times down the length of the scarf in center, cut the fringe and then fluff in the dryer.

Hmmm. I might have to make one more trip to the fabric store to buy some lavender fleece to try this.

Robin, great idea, glad I could add to your creative flair!

Is the whole family suppose to wear the scrafes or just the moms?

I'm making them for my whole family, as are some of the other people I've talked to. but that might have been an assumption on my part.
Great! I will make sure my family has them on also! What a great way to show support for our SR's!
For division 804, since our color was gold/yellow and we are wearing the same for n4m, I think we just stay with no additional colors sewn on. I think its going to be so cool to start looking for all of u throughut the weekend. I am wearing my yellow scarf all weekend so you all can see,me. Lol. I did find a yellow scarf at old navy for 5.00 on clearance!!!!!!!

So far I have made three with Lavender (Div 069 for my family), and 2 with Navy Blue (Angies Div 068). Himmiesmom asked for help so I have brown ribbon (Div 912) but don't know how many she wants.

I have pink and brown ribbons and 3 or 4 extra scarves (already cut) if anyone wants me to make them. I just ask that you pay for shipping and $3 each for the materials.

Let me know via this thread if you want me to make them.

This looks good. Love the idea of yellow scarves for n4m. Hate that our all male division color is lavender. Is the division color set in stone? Any other div 069 moms have an opinion about the division color? How about crimson or burgundy? If it HAS to be lavender then yellow scarf with the lavender backed by black is much better. Or how about a 1 inch navy ribbon with a 1/2 inch lavender ribbon down the center?

Some have decided to go with just the yellow, without the accent color. So it is entirely up to you...I think too late to change around colors, since  the original suggestion list has been used. So, just a yellow scarf is just fine too...

I am not thrilled with lavender and yellow together either! I think I just might wear the yellow only. I would love to see what the black/lavender ribbon looks like on the yellow scarf. If anyone has a picture could you post it? Thanks!
Mikki posted one on this discussion, if you scroll back a few pages you will find it there. :)
