Okay, so this is a fairly new group, and some of us don't know eachother a whole lot, so I figured this would kind of be an ice breaker type of thing. Kind of like a minature biography. KEEP IN MIND. OPSEC RULES!! NO FULL NAMES. Use the first letter of their first name, it keeps it safe. DON'T GIVE OUT HOME TOWNS. States are okay. (: Hope this goes well and everyone jumps in! To give YOUR biography, just comment the discussion with it(:

My name is Nicole and my boyfriend is Bret. I'm 27 and he's 19. I know it sounds crazy, but we are perfect for each other. We're from Minnesota, and we've been dating for a year and two months, but more than that, we're best friends. So far, our Navy experience hasn't been too bad, except for boot camp, of course! But as soon as that was over, I felt we were stronger than ever. He's an EN, but he's going to be with the Riverines, and he leaves in January for an unknown amount of time. I've learned that nothing is set in stone, and patience is everything. Id rather have him for two days every few months than any other man every day. :) hmm about me..I have a son, Kodan, who will be three in a couple of weeks. Bret isn't his biological father, but he's the only daddy Kodan knows, and they are amazing together. I had no idea I could love this much! Other than being a mom, I sell jewelry in a mall, and since it's Christmastime, we're really busy. It helps the time pass quickly. Bret comes home on Friday for two whole weeks! =D I'm ecstatic! And im so glad I have this site and you wonderful ladies as a support group! Just reading your stories and knowing if I need to vent, there are women who understand! Thank you all, and I wish you and your sailors the very best. (To the two ladies who aren't currently with your sailors: don't give up! They're going through a huge life change! Maybe they just need some time (: ) happy holidays!

Hello I'm Whitney (24), dating Brady, we've been bestfriends for over a decade. He has been in the navy for 4. 5 years while enlisted he was a rescue swimmer. Currently he is now in the STA-21 program and an OC in a NROTC unit. We from the same home town in central IL I moved with the B to AZ for him to attend school. I graduated college with a degree in Elementary Ed. We have a 5 month old puppy named Aspen she's an adorable Australian Shepherd mix that we rescued.

We've been officially date for 1.5 years, but we are currently ring shopping. Currently I'm a part time 7/8 teacher at a small private school, I'm a tutor, and I also a hostess trainer at On the Border.

As me anything!

Aww this looks so neat, I want to play even though nobody has posted since mid-December! Haha! Well my name is Brittany and I'm 21 years old. My boyfriend, Zach is 24 and we have been dating for just a few months, but I know that he is the one :D We are from Virginia and met in 2009 through mutual friends and didn't talk again until he was in A-School in Meridian, MS during this past summer. He is an AZAR. He will be on a 7 month deployment beginning in May so I've been preparing myself for this since the beginning. I'm a full time student and will graduate as a nurse in May...I cannot wait! I'm so excited to have found this website and connect with other women that are in similar situations--it's amazing! Right now I'm taking things day by day and I can't wait to see where life/the Navy takes me within the next year :) Feel free to ask me anything I love to talk, haha :)
people usually just read up. lol:) nice to meet you brittany!! welcome aboard!

My name is Amanda, I'm 18 and I'm brand new to this site and can't wait to make some new friends. I recently started dating my boyfriend(AR) in November. We were talking a couple of months before that and when he got leave over Thanksgiving we made it official. My boyfriend is an AE. He works on planes. He's leaving soon for a 6 or 7 month cruise. It's been hard for me to be away from him. I'm a freshman in college in Texas right now but am planning to join my boyfriend where he's stationed when he gets back from cruise.

Hi I'm Joanna! My boyfriend is D, well for this site at least, and we've been dating for almost two years since when I was a sophomore and he was a senior. He left after graduation and I'm finally a senior and almost done with high school! Since we've been dating we've been apart most of the time and it's both the easiest and the hardest thing I've ever done. Easiest to stay with him because he's my best friend and I know the only one for me, and hard for exactly the same reason. I can't wait to graduate high school and hopefully go to school closer to him. I'm currently a student and a part time waitress to try and earn money for college but once I get there I'm planning on majoring in art and minoring in exercise science. The first year D was gone I saw him maybe twice the whole year. But he recently got stationed about four hours from my house and he's been coming to see me every weekend! Until his ship just left for a couple weeks on a work up. I'll never forget the one day he drove four hours all the way here to see me for just one night and then drove back that same night because he had to be at work in the morning :) Anyways I'm really excited to find this sight I love reading what all you ladies have to say and to know I'm not alone!

Stay strong ladies!

Hi guys!!! My name is Deana and I have been dating "C" for about 6 months now. We are both 25 and grew up in the same tiny Texas town and graduated in the same year annnnnnnd.... I have absolutely no memory of him whatsoever!!! Ahahaha (whoops!) We met up last summer through mutual friends and as cliche as it sounds I knew within the first 48 hours that he was "the one." We will be getting married this fall/ winter depending on where he gets stationed. Neither of us has children but he has a dog (Kaluah) who I have adopted. He leaves for bootcamp on Jan. 31st and all I know after that is that he will be an aviation mechanic.. Looking forward to a trip to Chicago for his graduation though as I've never been :) Feel free to add me on here it sounds pathetic but I need Navy friends!! lol
Hello everyone! My name is Stacey, I am 22 years old (23 in July). I was raised in North Carolina, in a very small town. I have lived here pretty much my entire life, except when I went to NC State in Raleigh, and ECU in Greenville, but now I am back. My boyfriend "S" is in basic training at the moment, he left on 1/2/2011 and his PIR is 3/4/2011. I am so ready to hear his voice again and see his face!! In much need of a huge kiss lol I am a Nursing Student, I have taken all of my Gen. Ed, but I am working on the actual degree info now! So stressing! My boyfriend and I started dating almost 4 months ago (the 1st of Feb. will be 4 months). I actually went to middle and high school with his older brother, but never really paid him any mind. He asked me on a date over 4 months ago, and that was it, he won me over on that first date; best first date of my life! When he leaves for A school, he is going for Nuclear Propulsion; I am so proud of him! I am just ready for him to graduate bootcamp. But, I do have to say, the letters help lol Very very much! I am sure they help him much much more though. Well, I guess that's about it. It's nice to meet you all!
Hi I am Shannon. And I am pretty new to this I am a senior in college and a full time shift supervisor in a store near where I live. By the way I live in ny. By boyfried is currently in A school. I am so proud of him. But I can honesty say I never thought a guy would be worth all this distance. We dated a few years ago and we were rather serious but not ready to settle down. He went off to grow up and we ended up finding our way back together. He was in boot camp when when we started talking more.seriosly again. I wrote him a letter and sent him a picture of me and re dog we bought to tether when we dated previously and everything fell into place. The plan is to finish school here in ny and then try and relocate my self closer to him. Who knows maybe hewill even propose all I know is I hate the distance but I have never been happier.

I am going to.school to be an elementary teacher which keeps me fairly busy. But I am very people oriented and love to.talk

Hello ladies

My name is Anna, I am 23, and I am a soon to be Navy girlfriend so I'm hoping I can find some people on here that can help me through it! My boyfriend ships out for boot camp July 12. I work full time in hotel sales and have been living back at home since graduating college to save money to move with my boyfriend (since we won't be married yet) to San Diego where he will be for a year and a half finishing school for his job. I am originally from NY but moved to FL after my mom passed away from cancer when I was 10. I met my boyfriend in high school, although we weren't dating then or really even friends, we just had the same group of friends. When I moved home for an internship after college I re-met him and we have been together for the last 9 months. Actually, he is estimating our year anniversary to be his PIR weekend! Anyway, he comes from a Navy family, his father and grandfather were both in the Navy so after getting his Associate's degree he decided what he really wanted to do was join the Navy too and that's what he did! I am nervous and excited! Nice to meet all of you!

Hi everyone!

My name is Mary, I'm 20 and live in Northern California. My boyfriend just graduated from boot camp last weekend, and is now in Groton, CT for BESS sub school and will be there for the next 9 or 10 months. I'm going into my last year in college, so I can't wait to move to wherever my boyfriends going to be stationed starting next June (we're hoping for San Diego). We've been together about a year, but we've had a thing for each other for about five years now, ever since high school. Funny how things work out sometimes down the road:) I love him so much and am so proud of him. He's SECF and is hoping to be ET-Com or ET-Nav so we'll see here in a few weeks!

For all the ladies with SR's in bootcamp or leaving soon for bootcamp, just stay strong. Once you start getting letters after about 2.5 or 3 weeks, time starts going by much faster. And try to write everyday. Before my boyfriend left, he didn't think he'd write that much, but by the end he said writing to me was his favorite time of the day. Just hang in there. Seeing them after graduation is AMAZING, i can't even put it into words.

when your boyfriend was in boot camp was he able to call you or were you only able to receive letters? My boyfriend just left 2 days ago and i already cant wait to hear his voice :(
