If I hear from him I will surely ask about Evan and will let you know. And likewise if you hear from Evan please ask about Caleb from Louisiana.....Thanks! Will talk to you again soon!!
Hi myboysmom. I asked the same thing of a couple of other moms with boys in the same division and no one has heard anything yet other than the form letter. Hopefully this week brings some news!
Heck Wendee.. I was thinking the same thing about the recruiter lol!
Hi Sherri and Wendee,
I hope to hear from Caleb soon!!! Sherri what is the name of your son so that I can ask about him as well as Evan!?!?! I am hoping they are working together well. I have seen some on here that posted their sailors got to call home b/c their division was working well together. I hope our guys are having problems in that area. What are your sailors jobs?? Caleb is a gunner's mate. Hope to hear from him soon. This has been the longest 3 weeks of my life.....Just to hear his voice would make all the difference in the world to me right now. I agree Wendee lets keep in touch and hopefully we can meet at PIR!! Are either of you going to the meet and greet at the Ramada on Thursday the 17th? I plan to if nothing happens. Talk to you soon! Tasha
Hi both of you! for some reason it really helps to know we are all in the same boat. Remember the guys might not know each other by their first names so I'll message you Erik's last name. It's been one of the longest 3 weeks here too. To top it off I came down with what I bet was the flu last Thursday. Anything to make me more whiny I suppose.
Erik's job will be Mass Communication Specialist. Basically the PR branch of the Navy so pretty varied in duties and it will take him everywhere so we hear.
I'll make sure and ask Erik when we hear from him about Caleb and Evan :)
We're still hoping to go to PIR, but it's all going to depend on vacation time, $$ and the weather. We're about 9 hours away so keep thinking we might just drive. I suppose I should reserve a room just in case. Where are you both staying?
Sherri
I am on day 20 with no actual letters and no phone calls other than the I am here call.
Hi Miercaky,
No, mine is GM..(gunner's mate). Glad to have someone else with our ship and div. I agree it's been a very long 3 weeks. I haven't received anything yet and neither have the other 3 moms I've been talking to from the same ship and div. But, we are updating daily and letting each other know of our status. Please join us in keeping each other posted. That way we can support and celebrate with each other as we receive contact from our sailors.
