My son leaves on January 10th. Is anyone else leaving at that time?

I am suffering from slight anxiety.  Does anyone share my feelings?

My son left from Miami on Monday and arrived there Monday night.  I just got my"kid in the box" today.  I have cried so much this week.  I miss my son so much.
I got my box today but didn't get the address yet hopefully it will come soon...

I haven't gotten the box yet?  Was the address in it or any other info.  I've been doing well today, not as weepy actually excited for him.  I hope the box comes tomorrow so I can "get that over with"  His friends are coming over Sunday to watch football with us as they are missing him so much too.

Thanks for posting so I know that the box is on its way.

not in mine I have heard from others that the address was in the box the only think is his personal stuff and his meps paper work. But I heard the form will come with in days of the box. FYI the box comes fed-ex and has to be signed for.
the address is not in the box, that you need to call the recruiter for. i did not have to sign for my box, it was left on my frnt porch. i am so glad that i dont real crazy that this is so emotional even when they are grown up.
Oh nm..I asked a question, but it was answered already :) It was definitely tough getting the box. I was excited and then I opened it and just lost it...Things are getting a little easier every day though...each day is one day closer.

here is the link to what will most likely be your PIR group...join it and hang out till you get the form letter to confirm...LOTS of info there.

Hi Jessica I did join this group but got the form today with the address and ship and found out he will graduate on Mar 4.. So excited at least now I know something and can start planning my trip there..

Hi,

My son just left about 1/2 hr ago for boot camp. It's hard because he lives in California with his wife,  and my husband, mom and dad, and myself live in Washington state so it's a long distance good bye. I know he'll be fine though and we did get to see them earlier this month, but it's going to be so strange because we would text for hours almost every night. I think this will be a good experience for him and an adventure. I just know I'm going to miss him an awful lot and really look forward to going to the graduation.

Redfly, it sure is a roller coaster of emotions, and yeah, been crying off and on too. :)

I'll be praying for all of our future sailors!

My son left on Jaurary 10th .. we got the box Jan. 14th and an unexpected 1 min call on Saturday - he was very tired and said it was harder than he thought - and everyone yells .. but he was doing ok.. We got his address from his recruit - and have written to him several times.. posted his address on facebook- so he is getting notes from friends as well.. miss him so much - and proud of him all at the same time .. He is on Ship 12 div 96 - if any one else is out there who shares this group
Wow a phone call on Saturday, I still have not received a call or an address. I have several pages of letters to send him.  Just waiting to get the address so I can mail them.

Hey My son also arrived at GL on the 11th.  I was wondering how you got the Div # and grad date.  I  received his box last Friday, the 14th, which I thought was very quick,  I was very emotional when I received it.  I too, smelled his clothes and dug through his jeans pockets, hoping to find an address to send the letters I have already started writing.  However, there was no address enclosed.  It has not been a week since he left and I have not heard from his since he arrived at 12:45 on the

11th/12th.  I want to find out the division and grad date so I can start making plans to attend.
