Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Div 091 PIR 3/11/11
I just spoke to the Public Affairs Office 1-847-688-2405, she confirmed that Div. 091 PIR date is 3/11 not 3/4 you will need a new password to get your passes. She was very helpful and courteous and gave me a new password when I spoke with her. Hope this helps clear up the confusion we have all felt since getting our form letters.

Thanks Carol, When I talked to the Public Affairs Office they never said anything about getting a new password. I am wondering if they are going to send out letters regarding this mix up. I am thinking of all the loved ones that don't know about Navymoms that could get this information.

I know how you feel Jean. I found the site by accident and am eternally grateful that I did. I have been reading and following every link I thought might be helpful. Hopefully other families will be informed either from the recruits or the Navy.

=/ Now I'm sad, I was so excited because the 4th was the day before our one year anniversary. Do I need to call the Public Affairs Office to get the password or will I get a call from my husband? Or can he just send me the password in a letter?

I got the password from the Public Affairs Officer who confirmed that there had been a mistake on the PIR date. Originally we had received 3/4 as the PIR date so when I called to get confirmation of the date they told me that I needed a new password and then told me what it was. I don't know whether your husband will be able to supply the information or not.

Our son is in this group too! The password and other information came with the form letter that we got from our son.

Hi Scott's mom, If your form letter had the correct PIR date then the password would be correct, but if the form letter had the incorrect PIR date ...which happened to many of us in this group... then the password is incorrect and you will have to ck with your son or the Public affairs Office to get the correct one. Hopefully yours was correct.

When I got a PHONE CALL!!! yesterday from my son he told me that they were sending out new form letters with the correct info and password.

When I talked to Public Affairs they told my son would have to give me the new password. So hopefully they will be sending out the correct info
