For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Moving to Everett, Washington
My husband received orders to NAS Everett. I'm trying to find a place to live and I need as much advice as I can get. We want to get a place off base but still close. I need to know if there are places I should stay away from...This will be our first military move so I could use advice on that also. Thanks

Jennifer - Congratulations on your assignment to Everett. My son is currently stationed there, but is living on base because he is single and under 21!! Your husband should have received an info packet along with his orders, and there are contact numbers for Housing in Everett, as well as descriptions of the townhomes that are available for family housing. There is also general info about the amenities in and around the base area, and tons of points of contact info and corresponding phone numbers, depending on his assignment. Good luck with your move.

Thank you Barb. Apparently were not gonna be there long because the USS Abraham is moving to Virginia. So I'm so stressed and nevous. I hope I can get thru all this without going nuts :)

Welcome to Washington. I think I just read that the USS Abraham will be moving sometime in early 2012, but I could be wrong. Be sure to go to the Washington and Oregon group site. I wrote a "weather blog" for WA state. Where is it that your moving from?

Im from St. Louis but I moved to Pensacola while he was in A school. I've been here since August. Now he has to go to Virginia for C school and then we will move to Everett the first week in May. So it's gonna be a big move across country. I'm gonna look up that Washington group. Thanks
