Hey 095 -- anybody got any news? I got my call on Friday but no letters yet. I'm dying to hear anything. How are your kids doing? Anything about 095 in your letters from home? Anything from your phone calls?
In the letters I got on Saturday my son sounded like he was in good spirits but he misses every one. He said it was really hard but he was being strong. He said the hardest thing for him was folding clothes. Bless his heart... He did say the food is good. My niece got a letter from him today. I'm HOPING for another one tomorrow. I hope that you get one too! I'll be glad when we start getting them regularly

:). Mollie -- my son said the same thing! Folding clothes. Mine sounded okay too. My brother got a letter from him -- he said that " boot camp is surreal but not as stressful as you might think." And he also said the food was good. He said that phone call he made was from NEX -- they got to go because they passed an inspection. And he got his wisdom teeth out. He also passed his swim qual.

Nothing since the snow though. I want to be a fly on the wall, I'm SO curious. It's weird not being a part of what he's doing since as mom you just get the inside scoop on everything.

I haven't heard anything since the snow either. I miss him being here so much. We have always been very close. I just got through writing him and I told him I even miss those middle of the night phone calls (when he was letting me know his plans had changed) that I always told him I didn't like. :)

I still haven't done anything in his room. The bed is still unmade just like he left it. THE BOX is still sitting in my living room. I took everything out when it came, then I put it all right back in. I still have ok days and bad days. For some reason today has been one of those "not so good" days. How are you making it?

I'm just desperate to hear. I knew everything about that kid whether he knew it or not. I would *adore* an every day play-by-play of everything that's happening. I'm not exactly worried about him -- I have a lot of faith in the kid I know. I just want to do it too sort of!

Sigh. There is just nothing more interesting in the world than your personal child.

Sailor Mom,

That video was awesome.  Thanks so much for posting it.  I agree with your earlier comment.  I'm really not worried about  my son, either.  I'm just really curious about what he's doing and learning.  That video was helpful to sort of get a little insight into what they did when they left us. Thanks.

The video made me cry.  When he said sleep ...because my son's main complaint was that they didn't get much sleep.
2nd letter today...finally...it was just him returning the question form I sent him...one of the first things I sent....OH I MISS HIM SO but this makes me feel so much better.
I'm still at work, but my husband called to tell me that I got another letter!  Can't wait to get out of here and get home.  I'll post letter and let you all know what he said :)
Anyone from California in 095?  My son says in his letter that his best bud so far is from Cali.  Can't put the last name and don't know his first...just checking.
:) No, sorry -- my son found somebody from his high school.
