I made a hotel reservation this morning. Feels good to have gotten something accomplished that will bring me closer to my son. I guess that sounds crazy but I figure you guys know what I'm talking about. We have a reservation at the Residence Inn, a two bedroom suite. I figure my SR is going to want to spend some time relaxing and catching up with friends on the computer. The suite has two bathrooms and a full kitchen. There will be five of us and it was actually cheaper than getting two rooms.

Mollie, I've done the same thing..... 2 rm suite, just for the ease and comfort for our son to unwind a'lil. and yes cheaper than two hotel rooms.

We will be checking in on Thursday, early afternoon.

We will be checking in Thursday as well but it will probably be evening, maybe even night. I'll look forward to seeing you there!
I GOT A LETTER!!!!!!
My mail hasn't run yet but I am hoping for one today too.  Congratulations!  Doesn't it feel great!
Oh yes, I hate stalking the mail lady. But he sounded very upbeat and like he's getting the hang of it. So I'm pretty happy right now.

Ok, HapsMom.....

I'm feeling your pain today.... the girlfreind got the first letter yesterday.  The mailman didn't have on for me today, got my fingers crossed and hoping to have one tomorrow.

Congrats to "All" that are getting mail.... Keep sharing those letters and news, it helps the rest of us!!!!!!

I GOT A LETTER!!! It was written yesterday, so their mail IS going out. Of course, the whole area there is about to be dumped on with snow...so the mail might be affected, but not until Wednesday I would think. He said that all their RDCs are tough but fair - which is all we can ask for.
I didn't get a letter today either...and I haven't talked to the girlfriend for a week.  So, I don't know if she did or not.  But you are right ...it is good to hear when others do...so please keep sharing.
:) Hi. Sailor Recruit.
That stands for Seaman Recruit.  That is what every Sailor starts the Navy at.

is it sailor or seaman?
